How the tC compares
I've been doing some searching and I compiled this list just for fun. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
1. Subaru WRX STi = 300 HP ..............................MSRP: $32,000-$32,500 (est)
2. Nissan 350Z '06 = 300 HP ............................MSRP: $26,930-$34,668
3. Mitsubishi Evolution '06 = 286 HP ................MSRP: $28,987-$30,217
4. Dodge Neon SRT-4 = 230 HP .........................MSRP: $20,450-$28,500
5. Toyota Supra = 220 HP ...................................MSRP: $24,100 (latest model '97/'9
6. Acura RSX Type-S = 210 HP ..........................MSRP: $23,845
7. Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GTS = 210 HP ......MSRP: $23,800-$28,267
8. Cobalt SS SuperCharged = 205 HP ................MSRP: $20,490
9. Volkswagon GTI = 200 HP ..............................MSRP: $21,990
10. Saturn Ion Red Line = 200 HP ......................MSRP: $19,425
11. Honda Civic Si '06 = 197 HP ........................MSRP: $20,190
12. Toyota Celica GT-S= 180 HP .......................MSRP: $17,670 - $22,335
13. Hyundai Tiburon = 176 HP ............................MSRP: $18,199
14. Toyota Corolla XRS = 171 HP .......................MSRP: $17,880
15. Scion tC = 160 HP .........................................MSRP: $16,940-$17,740
I'm just letting others know where the tC stands in comparison with other sporty cars. This may be helpful in helping nOObs out. Please feel free to contribute or correct any mistakes I have made. The prices may be different or not up to date. If you know for sure that you know the correct MSRP, then post it here and I'll correct it. Keep in mind that some of these cars have multiple models and trims. For example the Supra has the Twin Turbo motor that adds about 100 HP and SRT-4 with the Stage 3 upgrade.

Yes, I wouldn't hava any problem with him posting this information, if he hadn't added "As you can see I need help on this list. Please feel free to contribute." Researching and posting a complete list would have taken all of 15 minutes, so why ask other people to do it so you have to wait even longer?
On a side note, where'd you get those numbers? Some of them seem a little off...

More like $29k for the RS and $36k for the MR.

More like $22-23k
7. Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GTS = 210 HP ......MSRP: $28,267
Why the convertible? You can get a V6 base model for about $23,800, it still runs flat 14s @ ~100mph.
8. Cobalt SS SuperCharged = 205 HP ................MSRP: $19,900
More like $23-24k

Yeah some corrections definitely need to be made to that.
Evos are 286hp as of 2006. Likewise all 350Zs are now 300hp. The GTI doesn't start anywhere near $16k, etc. Also several of those cars have long since ended production and there MSRPs would need to be adjusted for inflation. Furthermore, cars like the tC, Si, GTI, etc. are not sports cars, and should not really be compared to such.

Okay I am not trying to say that the tC is in the same category as all these cars. I am just saying that IF you want to compare the tC to any of these cars, it's there.
And, I am not perfect. If something is wrong just let me know.
Any other cars that you guys want me to add? Like the base RSX, Civic?

Also curious as to why you didn't change either of the 2 things that Skunk pointed out.
