Wow, that is the hottest Hyundai evar. I'd drop the cheesy Type-Resque badges, chrome-looking wheels and paint it a darker color.

I like the look of the car....are those projector headlights and led fog lights?.....Although to me it looks a bit like a chopped tC....the hood lines and all...

from autoweek.com
Hyundai's SR concept rides on MacPherson strut front suspension with new torsion beam, lowered and widened. The 18-inch alloy wheels have been fitted with wide 225/40R profile tires. Power comes from a turbocharged 2.0-liter mated to a five-speed automatic gearbox. Other features include ESP, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and a surround system of airbags. The interior is trimmed in aluminum and leather. Aluminum pedals and inserts further add to the sporty look. The wraparound fascia includes an integrated 8-inch graphic display screen, 3 USB 2 multimedia ports and touch screen-type controls to activate electric windows, mirrors and seats.

have a feeling it will end up being watered down to just look like a 3dr version of the Kia Rio5 -- of which it is based on

If that comes in at under 5,999.92, I'll be interested. If not, I'll wait a year then buy a used one for 2K.

They look cool though.

Actually Hyundai has promised a turbocharged Accent for quite some time. I wonder if the 5 speed automatic indicates it will be utilizing their new electronic AWD system.

Also, compared to the Nissan Sport it doesn't look too far fetched to be a production car. It actually looks sort of like the Kia Spectra5.

Perhaps they'll cut down on the luxuries though.

But I'de think of buying it.

But why did they have to go McPherson why!!? They were one of the few cheap auto manufacturers to use double wishbone.

Perhaps it is to accomodate the AWD tranny.

Oh well, perhaps I should just take the engine and the tranny to transplant it in a Spectra5.

I suppose it does grab some cues from the new Focus, but thats not a bad thing consider that car will probably never make it to our shores.

Here are some panoramic shots, tell me if it still looks like a Focus to you.

Actually, in the first two the grill looks sort of like the 06 Vitz.

^ I agree, the similarity to newer Toyota grilles is very obvious.

Is it just me or does the steering wheel look abnormally thick in places? Even with that, I like this thing a lot visually. Hyundai should bring it to production exactly as it is, sans the bLiN6 bLiN6 wheels. But I'm not holding my breath.
