Hyundai Accent SR

Yeah my bad on the ST, RS. Its pretty much the same thing in a nut shell. If they make another RS, it will still look like that. All in all, what ever you call it, there is some ford design in that hyundai. I guess that cant be skiped though seeing Kia made the Fiesta for ford back in the day & now Kia & Hyundai or grouped or something like that. So over all, its a small world after all

Wow. As long as the fender flares and 80% of the exterior stay without much change and the interior lighting stays blue, I think it can be a big hit. Hyundai seems to be making a very big stride up. And it looks like they're bringing it till next year. I'm really looking forward how the production car comes out.

the latest from thecarconnection.com
Hyundai is planning to show off the production version of the new 2006 Accent three-door SR at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show this November, after showing a concept version of the new vehicle at the Frankfurt Motor Show last month. The Accent SR won't have an uprated engine but will get suspension tuning and styling accents, Hyundai execs said Thursday at the press launch of the new four-door Accent; the SEMA debut is being staged to hint that tuners can have their way with the new vehicle in the absence of a factory-backed power move. As for a five-door edition similar to Kia's Rio5 hatch, Hyundai product planners say their brand simply can't have everything, and the two Korean companies will stick with their distinct subcompact models, though both brands will sell four-door subcompacts in the Accent and Rio. The Accent SR is due next year along with a Jeep Liberty-sized, three-row Santa Fe SUV in the second quarter; a new Elantra in the third quarter; a facelifted Tiburon at the end of 2006; and a new Explorer-sized SUV due early in 2007. -Marty Padgett

It still seems like a strange move since a car like this is directly competing with the Kia Spectra5. Its as though with their new Santa Fe and such they want to kill off their own subdivision.

Dear people that make concept cars,
make everything pictured into production and stop teasing us with flashy lights and switches.
if that hyundai is gonna come out EXCATLY like that, ill put my name on the waiting list right now!

I'm sure in the 1970s people were like "it's still a Toyota."

Yeah Hyundai has really turned around in the past couple years. If Hyundai resale values were ever to go up a bit, I would definitly buy that car if it had decent power and AWD. I think it was the latest Sport Compact Car where the editor mentioned that car companies don't know what the hell they're doing. Right now the youth market wants one thing. Cheap speed.
If someone were to release a little 200+hp RWD/AWD sport compact under 20K it would sell like freaking hotcakes.

Yes, so? Hyundai is one of those companies that has really turned itself around. Good quality scores, excellent warranty, and good prices.
LMAO, give it a couple of more decades and MAYBE I'll consider buying ANY hyundia for my future kids in 2030. And that goes for Kia's, too. Nice looking car, I can't believe it's a hyundia
