I drove the car to work finally. It made it there and back without any problem :D. Also, not having an odometer sucks because I can't properly calculate fuel mileage. However, I have a feeling it's doing pretty well. I'm around 50-70 miles on this tank already and the needle is still right around full. It's weird though, it'll drop down 1/8th then go back up to full, probably from the fuel sloshing around in the tank. When I hit 1/2 tank, I'll fill it up and try to figure out the mileage. As long as I get better than 16mpg on 87, it's cheaper to drive than the tC.

lol, I'm not too worried about it, they don't need to last too long because I don't plan on the car really lasting too long.

Well, I've had the car for a month now, and now that the braking headache is long gone, this car has been nothing but a joy to own. I filled it up last Tuesday, drove to work wed/thur/fri/mon/tue, plus drove to the mall, did errands, etc...and the needle has finally passed the 1/2 tank mark. I have no clue what kind of actual gas mileage I'm getting becuase the trip doesn't work, but I know it's slightly better than the tC. 5 trips to work + typical driving = empty in the tC (roughly 250-275 miles, 12 gallons).

Headlight situation: I'll be ordering the new headlights within the next week or so. Going to sell some things in order to pay for them. Not sure if I'm going to bother with HIDs because they'll probably scatter way too much, so I might just get some of those Sylvania Silverstars, anything has to be better than the current lights.

Broken Speedo: I'm not fixing it. Instead of testing my luck with buying a replacement unit at a salvage yard for $75-100, I'm just going to buy a cheap, used GPS unit and use that for MPH.

Body panels: I'm going to slowly do these over time. Once the new headlights go in, I'll probably repaint the front bumper. The only things that really need to get done are the rust on the passenger rear fender and the huge scratch that goes down the side of the car.

Well, my turn signal bulb finally broke today. Half of the lens on the bumper light has been broken off since I got the car and it's been working fine, but today I noticed my right turn signal blinking faster. Got home and checked the front bulb, and half of it was gone lol. I guess a rock got inside the light housing and broke it. This calls for new headlights and bumper lights. I should have my knockoff JDM lights sometime next week. :D

I didn't order the same lights I was planning on getting. The ones on the front page are JDM knockoffs with black corners. The ones I got are the same, but the corners aren't clear/black, they're the same as the JDM corners.

And then the JDM bumper lights. Lulz JDM.

Those are pretty clean. What's funny is you aren't really modding the car yet yours is probably gonna be one of the cleaner ones running around

I'm just replacing the things that need to be replaced lol. Down the road I might get a new iPod ready headunit (cheap one) and some cheap replacement speakers, but other than that, I don't think I'll be doing anything else, mod wise. I need to paint the front bumper though lol.

Mad tyte JDM headlights.

I still need to paint the bumper and fix the rust on the rear fender.

Oh and as a side note, I fixed the rear window that wasn't working. Apparently the moron before me couldn't figure out that the fuse for the circuit was completely missing. Threw a 20A fuse in and voila, it worked.

For brakes, wheels, tires, headlights, wipers, plugs/wires, navigation, and a few other things...around $1700. Saved me about $300 so far compared to driving the tC over the ~3 months that I've had it.

No. Nothing at all wrong with the suspension, so I'm not wasting money on that. Plus it has a much nicer ride than my stupid tC, and I don't want to lose that.

I know. Wheel gap is my DD's friend. I won't drop my S2K either. I'm not tainting the suspension on that car with springs. Plus it barely makes it into my driveway at stock height lol.
