Default If it has t*ts or a kickstand, I can ride it!

my name is Jon, i am 20 yrs old and i have a problem...

i live by the motto "If it has t*ts or a kickstand, I can ride it!"

my first bike was a 1999 Suzuki 600cc GSX-R with 15k miles on it. I now have a 2007 CBR 1000 RR and i'm never going back to the "Under 1 liter Class"

recently, i became a stuntrider for Alpinestars. Best career in the world...unless you crash...then it becomes one of the most dangerous careers in the world...

anyone else on scionlife ride??? gimme specs of your bikes, lemme know where you all ride. post up some pics of you guys doing wheelies and insane stunts!

c'mon guys, lets get this topic started!!

here's me on my old Gixxxer

well, you guys can start off where i did.

used 600cc bikes are cheap!!

like, under $3k cheap!!

i got my 600cc for $2,500. i use it strictly as a 'throw-down' bike nowadays.

but yeah, used bikes are cheap and they'll get you use to the feel of a bike...

...and the feeling of having an engine with a 6spd strapped to your crotch

argh......

stunters.

GET OFF of public roadways

I ride a gixxer 600 I hate it , very uncomfortable , luckily It isn't mine. lol

I want a b-king or a z1000

I really do not need a liter bike but the only good looking naked streetbikes are liters or larger

I almost bought a ninja 650r last year , kinda glad i didn't

i'm kinda diggin the kawi versys and the drz400sm from zuki

and I like the look of the honduh 599 but it is way too small of a bike for me to be comfortable on let alone the lack of power.

if someone made a naked gixxer or naked 636(i know it's gone , how sad much better than the z6r)

I read up about any and all bikes , I ride a few as often as I can.

right now I only own a zuki RMZ450 lookin' to try and get it street legal. I've seen a lot of guys with yam wr450's make em legal so hopefully I can get my rmz legal. i'll spend a few thou if I need to .

fun fun supermoto if i can

I like the classics. This is my '79 Kz1000 MKII. It's stout, though not as stout as today modern bikes, I still like it better. I love it's character and the Kawi's are bulletproof.

No stunt riding though, especially at my age.

Ride on!!

Welp I got a 2003 honda VTR1000R RC51. Im sure ill get a pic up soon enough, I just bought a bunch of parts for it, and cant wait to show it off.

Hows about gettin me some alpinestars stuff to plaster over my bike olesen! I got a a-stars jacket, but the rest of my gear is icon for the most part, but I have 3 cool helmets. (icon, shoei and a shark)

I just got a cool second-look tank skin and hot bodies undertail i got to get put on. i also got some sato bonzai high mounts and power commander setup, along with a few trick carbon parts. I wanna get this thing a bit lighter so i can throw it around like I do my girlfriend lol ;) (just kidding! sorta).doh!

oh and a sargeant seat i just got off ebay for like 200, i cant wait to get that!

I'm looking to buy a bike next season. Maybe during the off-season if the price is right. What I'm looking for isn't a sport bike or a cruiser so to speak. I'm looking to go classic with it and rock this bad boy, or something along the same lines.

Behold the BMW R12!!!!

currently dont have a bike, but had a duc in italy for a short time. 998s FTW. Loved the bike, but they came out with new rules and my license was no longer good
Trying to get a bike back into my budget.

speaking of g/f's, mine loves my CBR1000RR but hates my gixxxer

...she doesnt like the line of work that i'm in...

she wants a sportbike...i told her she cant have one... they're too dangerous

and yeah! i park my bike in my living room!

but yeah, Ducati's are expensive around where i live. Like, a Ducati 999 goes for like, $20k

and that BMW...wow, and i thought the Kawi was old... i may get a relic like that whenever i get out of this whole sportbike/stuntrider craze...or i may get a low and long chopper...

and i read up on that RC51...and that thing is insane! how does it sound? i'm immagining a chopper sound on a sportbike frame...?

^^ cute girl! yeah my rc51 sounds like a buell or a chopper on steroids. Other sport riders turn around when im comming up because they dont know wtf is making that noise..lol

another bike you should look at (or just check em out on ebay) is the suzuki tlr1000 or tl1000r it was suzuki's v-twin superbike. that thing is a beast as well, but everyone has been telling me I made the right choice R&D wise with the honda.

I have owned quite a few bikes ranging from my first that was a 83 honda intercepter (VFR) to the katana, the ninja and then the rc51. I sat on a brand new VFR at the performance shop the other day.. and wow.. comfy, but the ergo's feel like a grandpa bike (thats not REALLY a bad thing) and I loved the retro color scheme. I am suprised that your stock colors look like that oleson! It looks like a yamaha blue/suzuki yellow... (it doesnt look bad, but boy its different than typical red/black or red/white/blue honda!)
my friends 1krr is the titanium silver color

yeah, i really want to learn how to ride a motorcycle. only time i drove something with two wheels and a motor, it was my uncles really really old honda trail 90 from college.

well, i drove it straight across the driveway into the broadside of the nearest barn.

my older brother has a kawasaki ninja sport bike, not a high end expensive one i think it is like a 250 or something v-twin.

he knows how to ride it, but he never got a motorcycle license, so it just sits in the garage, and well, he never has time to teach me how to ride.

and getting a motorcycle lisense in md is kinda a pain, you have to get a learners permit, and ride along with somebody riding next to you before you can get a license or something. kinda hard to do if you don't know anybody.

torqueTC: my yellow blue selectionm came about b/c on my way to the Honda dealer, i saw two CBR1000RR's in red/black, and one in white/silver. I just wanted something that wasnt common.

When i learned how to ride my gixxxer 2 years ago, the hardest part was learning to not let the clutch go so early and stall it at a stop light.

shifting is easy, but the clutch is difficult.

also, i realise that i rarely use my rear brake, which is bad b/c i'm f**ked if a car pulls out infront of me and i fly over the handlebars! its happened before

yeah but using your rear brake will F you up more than jamming the front, thats how my first accident happened. I locked up the rear and it just fishtailed and I highsided the bike. f'in hurt too.. funny thing, I still have that alpinestars jacket with all the road rash, and I still wear it. (well i have like 3 jackets) THAT JACKET SAVED MY A$S.

Lesson learned, no matter WHAT the conditions (i dont care HOW freakin hot it is) atleast wear gloves and a jacket. (a helmet is a GIVEN.. here in PA you dont need to wear one.. but you'd never catch me without my helmet). I had these bullhead jeans on from PACSUN, and suprisingly they only had one SMALL 1" tear in them..

By any chance, could you get me a deal on the sp2 gloves at all? (cheaper than ebay?) if not thats cool, no big deal but i thought id ask
