but i like those rims!
Well, being that you are of such a "fresh" age it "would" seem like a relic. However, in it's day it was considered to be the baddest thing on the road. Believe me, in due time your CBR's, GSXR's, Yzf's, and such will also be considered relics.

Peace out.

Getting another bike when I get back from Iraq....started out on a '82 yam SECA 650, great bike. All I had to do was change the oil, clean the air filter and keep gas in it.
So i've been keping my eye on the new Z1000's....but the wife wont get on the back of a sport bike... ...c'mon guys what can I do to talk her into riding on one so I don't have to buy a V Star or a C90.....

And yes wearing leathers is the only way to ride, has saved me and many family members from worse accidents than they could have been...

PS: Still trying to get over the fear of being on one wheel...any help would be appreciated lol

Want to learn how to ride. Would get a Honda 599 for a learner. As an alt, an older street legal dirt bike would be cool. Used to get this great brit bike mag called Two Wheels Only and would read it cover to cover. Lot of cool naked bikes and supermotos in europe. Bigger range of bikes over there that you can't get here. If I lived over there I'd get a Yamaha MT-03. A cool look'n 660 single thumper supermoto. S*cks ya can't get them here.

The b-king is assome looking. Insane power.

^ that bike looks like a streetfighter style. Streetfighters seem fun but they're a bit too...open for me...i dunno its hard to explain. I'm sure if i rode a Ducati Monster i may get use to it

By any chance, could you get me a deal on the sp2 gloves at all? (cheaper than ebay?) if not thats cool, no big deal but i thought id ask
possibly, they're only sending me one full outfit for 2008 and i can choose whats in it, i'll see if they'll throw in an extra pair and i'll just mail them to ya

I'm a trackday junkie...I can ride a multi-mile wheelie...but what's the point...the track is where it's at!
i've been to the Mid-Ohio AMA events and track day is fun! i wont be getting on the track any time soon thou, "kneeing in" scares me too much...

PS: Still trying to get over the fear of being on one wheel...any help would be appreciated lol
start simple with a 3rd gear wheelie and slowly work your way upto keeping wheelies for distances. good luck

I dig the streetfighter style bikes. Not a big power junkie, but would like something that can get out of it's own way.

I would suggest getting a used Suzuki SV650...it's a streetfighter style'd bike, has plenty of power for a new to the sport person and is a easy to ride bike.

its also rather in expensive, which is good.

if your not into a suzuki, you can buy a regular Ninja400 and just take off the fairing and expose the bare frame.

production year of the ninja ZXR 400 was 1991 til 1999. They look the most like streetfighters once all the fairing is taken off.

but your right, current production bikes would be the 250R and 500R.

Ive been riding an 05 Yamaha R6 Raven edition...its the all black bike with the red pinstripe around the wheels with the red rear shock. The only mods I have on it are a Jardine RT-One carbon fiber slip on, hotbodies undertail kit, OEM Yamaha rear Cowl and some Harrison R6 grips...love the bike and have put about 4200 miles on it since april of 05
