Default "If I Didn't Have a Car Note on a Scion"...

Hell why not, make a thread about our "possible car dreams" (meaning: a car you financially could afford but can't because you currently have a car note.)

----------------

I would either own.....

IS 250/350(depending on how much of a down payment I would come in with)

Completely stop with modding chapter and get a big girl car; V6 Venza. I love that bronze color.

Then on the other hand, my tC isn't getting paid off until '12. Those brand new IS-Fs now that will be used around that time, could be in the mid-$30s range or even less. Sounds quite attempting especially if I am not married & without kids in the future.

If I could afford it and not have to live in it, the BMW 330D looks really impressive and could have a lot of potential... but If I go diesel right now... Passat!

the cummins inline 6 turbo diesel would eat a duramax and shyt out a powerstroke... sorry, but the truth hurts, motortrend compared them a few years back, and the dodge took them all with their tails behind thier legs

I never said it wouldnt. You stated that all diesels have to be an inline form, which is wrong. I was not saying a duramax was better or worse than a cummins or powerstroke. Frankly i dont even care. They tow things well, thats all that matters.

Cummins makes great engines, don't get me wrong. The 7.3 liter powerstroke is a beast though. The only thing that ever really went wrong with those was the turbocharger. The only reason those ever went is because the engine had enough power that the turbocharger never really even spooled up. Just kinda sat there iding. Have you ever heard a turbo on a 7.3? I had to really try to get one to sound off.

Now the 6.0 powerstroke and the 6.4 are both pieces of crap.

The 6.0 was just a bad engine with a lot of injector problems. the later year 6.0's were an improvment but still sucked. The turbo on those was at full boost just to move the truck from a stop.

On the 6.4, you have to take the cab off the chassis just to change the thermostat. Thats a load of crap. Ohh yeah and lets not forget the flamethrower incidents.
