Default I'm out! Just bought a new civic Si

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for all the info on the boards. This is the best auto message board i have been around, but I just bought a 06 civic si, so i probably won't be around much anymore. Just to let you guys know, I just traded my 05 tC with 23,xxx 5 speed for $14,500. Thought that was a really strong trade in considering i got it for somewhere around 17500. Thanks again.

enjoy it--they are good cars. My wife has had 1 crx, 1 integra, 3 civics, and a crv in our 20 years together, and for the most part had good luck/fun with each one. She just had her fill of Hondas, so the TC was her new baby. Hell, my boat puller even has a Honda motor ( Vue ) so i just can't seem to escape the "H"..
drop a line on here with any results if you mod it... real time comparisons make for a good read.

traitor!!! Just kidding. I would have gone that route but I couldn't wait till they came out, I needed a car to get around. The only thing i dont like on the new si is the wierd steering wheel. Whats up with that thing!

I love my Box, but that was the only other car I was thinking about getting instead. I just didn't want to wait and then pay the extra money. However, the new civic SI looks sick and its fast. It's a sweet ride. Only thing is I like the functionality of the box. I just wish they could make it faster. Why the heck scions are so under powered I have no idea.

At the dealership i work @ there marking them up 5k over sticker price. So after financing and all most peeps get the car for around or close to 30k( )
not something i would pay for a CIVIC, but thats just me.

there's a dealer here that has a 8000 mark up having it close to the same price as evos, rx8s, 350z, stis, mb c230s, volvo s40s

kind of ridiculous but if i didn't fix up my tc, i would trade it in for a civic si in a heartbeat too

cmon guys, 197 hp, 6 speed, LSD for just abaout the same price

There are many, many posts at ToV regarding Si pricing in SoCal. Very few folks there have managed to find an Si without a markup, but a few have. In Vegas two Honda dealers are charging markups (#1 is $4K+ forced accessories bring the total to just under $30K, #2 is $2K plus a $1K 'protection pkg'). The thrid dealer is going at MSRP and has a waiting list out to July. Being a repeat customer to the dealer and salesperson, I got a 'whopping' $200 off MSRP. Lol, hey, its still $200. heh.
