Default Little problem before i buy a new tc** need help

Well i'm more than likely going to be trading my carin ( 2002 mitsubishi diamante ) But i have a little problem, the tranny slips a little bit.. What it does is under acceleration it revs up a few hundred rpm before it shifts into gear, and now that i kind of have my heart set on a few cars i would buy, i just hope it does'nt slip for them on the test drive.. Is there anything i can do other than get a tranny flush?? I no it sounds terrible but is there a temporary fix.. Like 100 mile fix.. I'd usually never do this but if you knew me u'd no my luck with every car i had was a disaster

So this looks like it could be a life saver.. If it works, Also when your tranny is slipping is it ok or good to flush the fluid and then use this lucas stuff, or just try the lucas 1st

another thing about lucas lucas, ive always heard good stuff about them... But now the thing thats confusing me.. Do i flush the fluid and put new fluid in, withe the lucas? or just use the lucas 1st and see if it helps?? Ive been told both things..

1) that people who have trannys that slip, flushing the old fluid makes it worse..

2) Just flush and use the lucas fix...

Its kind of important just cause of the fact that im going to the dealer on probably tuesday, and i want everything to work great

If your trading it in, shop arround for the best price you're offered. I wouldn't worry about fixing it unless the dealer points it out on the apraisel.

If your keeping it, I don't know. I've never had serious tranny problems in a car that I've kept.

When I've traded in cars in the past they didn't "test drive" the car I was trading... I wouldn't worry about it. Even if they do drive it, just don't mention anything, they may not even notice.

If anything, find out the car's trade-in value (www.kbb.com) then find out how much a new tranny costs and be prepared for them to possibly deduct that cost when appraising your trade.

Good luck.
