LOL, the R32, and R36 are nice ___ cars but you have to be on crack to spend $35-40,000 on a Golf! That is ludicrous!!! I'd get a used M3, slip a chip and stomp your golf up and down all day!

Good lord...there's so many messed up comparisons it's not even funny.

modded vs stock is a ridiculous comparison because there are endless possibilities.

used car vs new? Please...either you compare a used to a sued or a new to a new.

From the list of cars you've provided, I would say get rid of the RSX since unless you feel the need to pay the extra money for the RSX looks and leather, I suppose, then go for it. Otherwise...the Civic Si is basically the same as a RSX.

I haven't driven a WRX or a GTI, but...I dunno, the GTI does seem like a nice car. However, I'd wait and see how the cars are holding up, reliabilitywise. VW cars are not exactly anywhere close to being "reliable", but maybe it'll change.

yaa the 1.8t motor was very tunable I could only imagine how the 2.0T will be like

i also read on a forum that APR will be introducin a turbokit that should push the 2.0T to 380-400hp safely it thats true that is pretty ridiculous..

I actaully bought a GTI about a month ago and its a beautiful car. But I couldnt afford it. If you can afford the payments then its an amazing car. It is probably the most fun car I have ever drove. I dont think anyone would turn it down. It was TopGear car of the year for a reason.

I had the papers all signed, was accepted for financing, put my payment down, the day before I was supposed to pick it up some finanical problems came up. It was a huge bummer but there wasnt much I could do about it. Im still going to school full time and working part time so I figured with my financial situation going for a less expensive car was a good choice anyway. I was going to get a white package 1 with mats. And I could be wrong but I think the package zero is basically nothing added on. No sat. radio, no leather, no sunroof, no climate control, no heated seats/power seats, etc.

Yeah i actually prefer the Interlagos Plaid interior. The leather seemed a little cheap...and in a lot of places in the leather seats they used a synthetic leatherette. And with the Interlagos you dont have to worry about scratching or scuffing.

lol and i think its ridiculous that people pay 35k for a subaru or mitsubshi with the interior it has...yet a s4 will always be an s4 no matter what lets see which would bring more attention
Yeah, it'll be a very nice kit. Although, 350-400hp in a FWD car is not even close to daily drivable. That's just beastly.

Evos don't break down all that much. The do have transfer case issues but that's about the extent of it. Pretty much no four cyl engine comes close to that thing potential though. That's why they come with anywhere from 320-400hp stock depending where you live.

I'll give you that the Evo has a pretty crappy interior. Subaru's interiors are quite nice, and for the money, I'd take an STI over an S4 any day.

If you're talking to me, you'll notice I didn't post that.

For a new car, yeah, an STI is worth it.

If *I* had a used car budget of $35K, I could build a car that pretty much nothing can touch in almost any motorsport you care to name. Like a first gen Miata with rebuilt motor, turboed/supercharged to around 350-400hp, gutted, full suspension/wheels/tires, roll cage, tranny, and about 10 grand in aero/weight reduction. Car that weighs *way* under 2000lb, can pull *way* over a G on a skidpad, and probably runs 10s in the quarter and tops out over 180. That could destroy Porsches, forget M3s.

That's why comparing new to used is retarded.

Alternatively, a retardedly well-built RX-7, 300ZX, MR2, or even 240sx could be built with that kind of money. And any one of them would hit the above performance levels mentioned above (well Zs aren't really quarter mile cars, but top end would be absurd).

Sounds like you don't read much of anything.

http://homepages.apci.net/~sirmyt/bo...SecretGT-R.mpg Top Secret R33 GT-R, 1200hp, 0-200 23.99 secs, on public hwy
http://homepages.apci.net/~sirmyt/bo...3.movie02.mpegJUN Auto Impreza, 600 hp, 190 mph on public road, in 1999
http://homepages.apci.net/~sirmyt/bo...3.movie01.mpegTop Secret Supra, 198 mph on British A1

Want more? I got a clip of a R32 GT-R doing 0-190 in just over 13 secs -- or how about the Top Secret R35 GT-R, 209 mph on the Autobahn? How about the AMS Evo's? They've hit well over 800 whp, and 600whp cars are their average tune. Don't even get me started on anything put out by MINES, AMUSE, Yashio Factory, RE AMEMIYA, etc. GTI is a nice car, but they're not doing anything anybody else hasn't already been doing for quite a looooong time now. If you're going to tell someone to bugger off, you better pack a bit more ammo and a lot less attitude.

Yeah, I drove a 2001. It was alright, certainly pretty quick.

And I raced a 2005 S4 in my WRX and pulled a fender up to sixty miles an hour, then let off. I have no illusions that he wouldn't have blown me out of the water past third gear though. Still, the look on his face was priceless. He used to have a highly modded GSX, which he sold for the Audi, and last I heard he sold that and is now building a SR20 240sx.

And I'm saying *for the money* I would take a new STI over a new S4. Just because I would be almost as fast and save $20,000. I'd take a spec B over an STI though.
