Default Making It Turbo!!??

i just bought a 1989 toyota supra non turbo and i was wondering if anyone had any idea how to convert it to a turbo or any way to get it from its stock 200 horses to around 280 or more if u have any ideas i would aprreciate it.

ps. plz only respond if u have advice i dont wanna hear people tell me about y they think i should keep it stock and not drive like a maniac (if u dont have anything nice to say just dont say it ) thanks

Engine swap or buy a Supra turbo... If you are mechanically inclined you can build your own turbo kit. You'll need a turbo manifold, turbo, intercooler, gaskets, oil lines, water lines, upgraded fuel system, all piping and fittings, etc.... It'll be cheaper and less stressful just to go and buy a turbo Supra.

I agree a turbocharger would've been better for fuel economy and reliability reasons, but:
Since there are aftermarket turbo kits that boost the tC's output by considerably more than 40 horsepower, we ask why TRD didn't go the turbo route. He mentions the tC's close-coupled exhaust catalyst that makes a turbo difficult, if not impossible, to fit. "We wanted to keep the installation simple for our dealers. Plus, a turbo generates a lot more heat under the hood."

go to supraforums and sign up with them, i have tons of freinds on there, just do a search and you will find everything you need

so... to do my own turbo kit could i use an after market turbo manifold or would i have to go with one of a 7m-gte

supra are fu@kin-fantastic, whats the compression do you know? if its 8 you can get practically anything in there!

the difference between the 7mge engine and the 7mgte are just like the manifolds and the computer i think so could i use turbo parts to rebuild the 7mge engine??
