Default MAZDA3 VS SCION tC: exterior looks

Well, almost all of us don't want to drive and ugly car.
Exterior looks is very important in the buying decision!
In another thread many indicated that the Mazda3 was their #2 choice in buying.
So, judging by exterior looks alone which car do you think looks better? The Mazda3 hatch or the Scion tC?

P.S. not polling for Mazda3 sedan because Scion does not make a 4dr tC.

Voted for Mazda3.
Think tC looks a bit bland, though the MZ3 hatch kinda bulky.

The mazda 3 5-door looks like a pinched off turd to me.

I def dont like the look of the the hatch, but the sedan isnt too bad my girlfriend has a 3 sedan and its a nice car the only thing is she has the 2.0 and an auto and boy that things a dog compared to my tC. Other than that i still like the tC's looks over the sedans as well but its still a nice car for the price.

I like every mazda car, they have the coolest looking cars, and every single one of them have sweet headlights and tailights. No other Car make has stock headlights or taillights like Mazda does.
Personally, I'm kinda into that Mazda5, pretty sweet looking minivan if you ask me, and it comes in Manual! If I ever get a minivan it will probably be that one.

I have to say the Mazda 3 hatch isnt that great looking. I would definitley take the tC over the hatch, but not sure about the Mazda 3 sedan, I think they look pretty sweet. IMO, they have a better interior and not such a bland exterior as the tC.

If I wanted 4 doors and a hatch, I'd get the Mazda, if I want 2 doors and a hatch, I'd get the tC.

Hate the hatch look. I don't want a station wagon.

They are no longer station wagons, they want to be called touring wagons...

Either way, I do like the Mazda 3 sedan, and I almost got one, but my GF found out it was Ford and walked away. The 5-door isn't nice. Too much going on. And its not just that car that don't look right as a hatch.
The BMW 5-series 5-door. Now that's

They are both pretty good looking cars, but I voted for the tC because I think it will be more reliable.

Mazda = Ford. EeeeewwwwW!! tC lines look way cleaner then Mazda 3. The Mazda 3 Wagon looks like the car all the clowns and midgets would climb out of at the Circus.

I'm a die-hard Mazda Junkie.

I love my Protege5 so much that I bought a new car to use as a Daily driver.

It seemed only natural that I would progress to a Mazda3 which is what replaced the Protege Models, but I didn't. ... I went with the tC

That's a right ... a Mazda Junkie .... Picked a tC over a 3 .... WHY?!?!

1) Dollar to Goodie ratio, tC is just the best value dollar for dollar in its price class PERIOD

2) The 3 TO ME looks like the Protege5's Homely Chubby Cousin ...... "With a Great Personality"

3)Mazda aftermarket support leaves MUCh to be desired

4) HORRIBLE experience with inept Mazda Reps (Avoid Magic Mazda in Las Vegas at ALL Costs)

5) etc etc ... you guys get the point. I chose a tC nuff said.

Mazda isnt ford, Sure it may have Fords name attatched to it in the states. But it sure doesnt have ford attatched to its design, or engine. Mazda isnt a domestic Make.
Thats like saying Quintin Tarentino made all of the crazy Asion movies, haha, he had nothing to do with those productions, stories, or even the fact that those movies were made, he just funded them to be released in america after they were already old in china.

when mazda was in high stake FORD bought 33% of the company

the current ford focus's motor is also used in the mazda 3

the mazda 3 motor uses a ford duratec block (the two companies share design)
mazda's v6 was created by ford and modified by mazda purely for the american/canadian market

Ford controls some of the finance in mazda as well

Your points are correct. Nevertheless, I do NOT consider a Mazda to be a Ford. Mazda3 is made in Japan and its' quality is very high! In this day of age it is very hard to say what is what in the auto world.

Actually, the duratec block was not created by ford. It was mainly designed by porsche for Ford, so no reliability problems there.
