Might trade the Box in for a EVO IX or Mazdaspeed 3
I just recently got a nice raise and im going to be working from home.
So that means dont need to worry to much about gas
My dilemma is I thought that I could live without the HP...
Well I cant, now since I thought I give myself a little present for a job well done.
Ive always loved the EVO and now Mazdaspeed I really like.
I know that you cant really compare both as they priced differently.
But my job allows me to get an EVO for invoice with their incentives so Ill be getting a pretty good deal.
Anyways what would you guys get?
EVO or Mazdaspeed 3
Help me out
Thanks

I guess that depends on where you want to be on the performance vs. practicality curve. I had an STi before the tC, and while practical (except for gas $) it wasn't comfortable for more than about 40 mins. I still miss the power+awd, but in reality, I'd only get to use it for a total of about 30 seconds on any given week. I really like the Mazda3 for looks and practicality, but obviously you're going to give up some performance for it. I'd say if you have a wife/ serious significant other with a good long distance car, go for the evo, if not I'd vote for the 3.

I dont like to mess with anything significant in the engine, especially a turbo upgrade so thats why I wont go that route.

My wife & I have 2 kids 3 and 1.....so we have her SUV for the long trips.
She is actually looking at the CX7 and i thought one of us has to have the fun car.

out of the evo or the ms3, i would choose the evo
i really like both cars but i would much rather have an evo in my garage than a ms3
if you want potential, you know its in the evo
not so sure about the ms3 yet
awd > fwd still...
its really up to you and what you can afford
good luck and happy shopping
oh yeah, keep in mind that the evo is rated highest cost for insurance of 2006 according to msn.com

I checked on Isurance and there is virtually no change at all. I told them to double check on it and sure enough. No change Yipppppie:
Now on the cost Evo IX ( would love the MR) is going to cost me about 27000 and MSP3 is 23500.
459 mth for the Evo
388 mth for the MSP 3
My wife already told she prefer the MSP3 because its a hatch gives a little more room for us.
But her vehicle will be the baby mobile.
My Head says the MSP3 cost
My heart is the EVO
Hmmm. but since you guys are all about the EVO makes it easier to pick. Just thinking this over for quite a bit as i wont see a new car for a while so I got to be happy at least for 5 years :-)

Message uncompiled. He went from a B to a MS3, he seems pretty happy, but I know he misses the Scion love. He still comes to most of the meets too. lol. Personally I would go for the MS3 over the EVO, not a big fan of mitsubishi's after my families Diamante incident, that and the $250 brake pad price from the dealer. Then again it's a nice ride. lol

AHHHHHHH!
Finally a post I can reply to with knowledge
Ive owned 3 evos in 2 years
05 evo 8 with ssl traded in for electric blue 06 evo IX (too easy to get scratches) and 06 evo IX silver. One from HB mitsu the other two from Abbas at south coast
Beautiful car and it will be the last fully jdm evo with the 4g63 engine on the ct9a chassis. The engine has been around for soo long that mods have been readily available for a long time. It will take a long time for them to catch up on the new b11 engine (its on the evo IX brochure with engine code)
I went from evo to xb and youre doing vice versa, heres the reason for mine. I have a great paying job though the fact that I now am more family oriented the evo doesnt do it for me. Plus you CANNOT park youre car anywhere without kids looking at it or doing something to it PLUS you will not be a ble to watch a movie in peace without thinking of your car. Also my 620 payments premium fuel insurance, I'm saving almost 600 per month with my xb
I went from fun to PRACTICAL in the long run
for the mazdaspeed all I can say is people who buy first model year anything are guinea pigs who overpay, regardless of the same engine existing on the ms6. Look at evolutionm.net for probs that 03 owners had and go to mazda3forums and type in airconditioner, they dont work(you might think you dont need it, but thats what made me buy an xb over a mazda 3)
any questions feel free to ask. I also still have a vortex generator, car cover weathershiwld hd, volk 18x8.5 mercury silver wheels (unmonted), readio relocation kit and more for sale
Once again good luck on your decision!!!

You didnt have any problems with your Evo? I know a few people that had them and have had it in the shop 2-3 times a year min. These are guys that arent ******* their cars either. Also the clutch doesnt seem to last more than 15-20k miles. At almost $800 a pop to fix it thats pretty expensive.
