The Next Scion

if toyota are smart enough, making an inexpensive RWD car will attract more young drivers (who are interested in drifting), therefore, more money for Toyota. BUT if more young drivers thinks they are cool and goes drifting into walls, then Toyota have to discontinue the car... IMO

I'd like to see an AWD 3 or 5 door. I always liked suicide doors, so maybe they could put a fresh spin on it. Ideally, it would be an AWD sedan, short front end, and a trunk with ability to use rear seating to lug stuff. So a pseudo subaru I spose, without the ugly front end.

I would like to see a more refined, slightly more powerful xB type vehicle with a real independent rear suspension....BUT...
I suspect what we are going to get is some kind of SUV-crossover thing. SUV's are WAY to popular for Toyota(Scion) to ignore.

I would honestly buy an Echo coupe if it were RWD. I bet I could fit an SR20DET in it!

If Dodge had made the Razor, or if Mazda had brought-over the Miata coupe, one (or both) would be in my driveway.
I would love to have a replacement for my e30 325is. I still can't believe no manufacturer has jumped-on this niche.
If you build it, they will come.

I know it would be bad for Lexus IS owners..but i'd like to see Scion do something crazy like squeeze the 268hp/248 ft-lbs Avalon engine with a manual transmission in a smaller RWD sedan/coupe..I'd actually prefer it in an almost wagon-like coupe...sort of a poor-mans M-Coupe, A3, 1 series...if Toyota can sell a base Avalon for 26k-27k with all it's standard features..they could probably get a smaller coupe/sedan to market around the low-mid 20's...it would be nice to have SRT acceleration with RWD handling and Toyota reliability for the same price..and Dodge managed to sell those for three years..even with an enormous-winged Neon body sitting on top...i know..i know..SRT's are not Neons..

Found from Toyotanation.com.
It may be the next Toyota Echo sedan replacement or a Scion sedan. The Toyota Belta

I'd like to see something like the 2nd gen MR2. 3SGTE, I believe the last iteration of which in Japan was putting out 240hp. Light weight, mid engined, RWD, and a removable sport top. Toyota needs to come out with something to challenge the competition, and a car like this could offer acceleration on par with the other Japanese sports cars, and handling to match the s2k or boxster.
