I wouldnt mod it too much that seems kinda a waste of money but i would look into getting a yoshimura or two brothers slip on, they make this lil thing sound pretty mean.

One more thing just for the sake of argument, i have a couple of friends that have bought 1000cc bikes as starters.. i was against it personally but they have accustomed to them well. so i think that depends on the rider as well.. you can die on a moped or a busa always have to take in account how you ride and the other people around you.
yeah im a pretty decent rider but this is my first actually motorcycle . . itll save me alot in gas . . problem is im still on my parents insurance policy.. so i have to get their approval first.. anyways.. im going to look at them on friday and hopefully will buy one next month.

lol i never rode anything other than a bicycle before i bought my bike haha.. my goal was to buy myself one for my 21st birthday but i saved up enough money and got one when i was eighteen. my dads father passed away in a motorcycle accident when he was really young and my mom is against anything with a engine lol. my dad threatened to kick me out of the house if i bought one. I took the cash out of the bank and went with my friend during our lunch break to buy it haha..and he rode it to my house!! my dad came out and i was like do you like that bike? well its mine.. ye he didint talk to me for a while.

but be respectful show them that you are responsible with it and even let them set some guidelines or somthing for example dont ride at night...it will definitely save you some gas money, that should be another point to bring up to them haha.

Just remember on bikes its not always about speed that gets you killed..ive been ran off the road while going 40mph and ive been hit by a car pulling out of a driveway lol. people just dont see you most of the time...cell phones are the devil..

Ive had a friend go down recently on a city street because a lady pulled out in front of him...he was going speed limit but no helmet..

Then last year a good friend of mine went down doing a buck forty and he survived... many surgeries later but hes walking and functioning normally. Its tough to be a motorcyclists in the states lol.

i have 1, its nice bike, it looks great, well not as fast as the bigger bikes, but still fast. 100mph no problem, but after about a month of riding, you will feel the bike is slow, and u might want to upgrade to a bigger bike. overall nice bike.
