NO. . . there's huge history that you probably don't know about.
There's the Skyline. . . which has been a long running model, and then there's the GT-R, which is the performance model of the Skyline. In Japan, there is no such thing as a G35. They call it a Skyline. But in the USA, they slap a different emblem on it and call it a different name. . . kinda like what Toyota does with Scion.
The GT-R is the performance version of the Skyline, and is seperate from the rest of the regular Skylines. So no! That is NOT the new G35.

Could it happen, yeah. . . but probably not. I really doubt a carbon fiber clad exotic will sell for $30k, replacing a very profitable model.

There were spy photos and GOOD solid information in Sport Compact Car a few months back about the g35 being released in 2007 with one model being a
G34 GT-R. It is going to be a awd twin turbo car. It was going to look basically the same as a G35 now but with a different front bumper to accomodate air flow to twin side mount intercoolers. According to the magazine, it was going to be released in 2007 and they said they had confirmable sources. It was on the cover about 5 or 6 months ago.
I for one and waiting for this model. I will be purchasing one as soon as they hopefully become available...

I am a super huge Nissan fan. I like this car for the most part, but I seems so familiar on both the front end and the rear. We all know the rear looks like a Skyline. The front end looks like a blend of the 350Z and the Frontier trucks. I just don't think alot was put into the asthetics of the car. Other than that it's a nice ride.
