What are you talking about.....It's a pretty good shape for being a 1990 4runner...wait..ur in CA..
You're not used to seeing these runners from the RUST-BELT of the US. My bad.
Come to IA. This runner is pretty good actually compared to a lot of the old runners and trucks around here.

i feel bad for all cars if they get eaten up that bad in less than 20 years . makes me sad . i'd be afraid to own a newer car in the thought that it'll have cancer in less than 20 years . guess tis the price to pay living in the midwest ?

here was my 92 4runner
it got HORRIBLE gas mileage but i liked it .
bought it for 700 , put about 10 hours work into the paint and brakes , and about 300 in parts and sold it for 2250 so I was happy .
sorry if i'm coming across as a jerk or what have you .
take care . and if you can FIX that rust !
oh and the front bumpers only cost like 150 for all the parts off ebay

Ohh here in the midwest we've above salt(not totally. still use it once the snow and ice are down). We've moved up to car eating Salt Brine solutions that get into EVERY crevice and pit that it can find. Our car's slowly get eaten away......well, quickly when the brine is out.
It's the price you pay for lowered costs of living. My house, buildings, and land where you live would easily take a few milion to purchase if it were in CA.

but yeah salted and brined roads sounds bad .
use liberal rubber undercoating everywhere ? sure it'll slow you down with the weight but if it'll keep a car alive longer ??/

Im done with the 22re, everyone I know had a reliable one, but I went through 5 of them through 3 trucks. If I ever get another pickup/4runner I'm going to put some ***** in it. Great thing about the midwest, no smog emissions. lol *poke*
