SCOOPED!! T2B! CHECK IT OUT!

the single foglight and single reverse light should be moved to the center for safety reasons.
that thing really looks like it'll be top heavy with its "wider on top" design. supercharged 2.4 would be nice but if that t2B is as heavy as it looks, itll probably feel like the xb as far as power goes. i do like the look of the front facia.
Also looks like a lot of us were right in guessing what the next idea would be... fastback, 4door hatch, light truck.
im guessing we'll see a production version late summer of 2006 as a 2007 model.

The exterior will probably grow on me. The interior, wow talk about something different. That doesn't mean its good. I know its a concept, hopefully if that makes production, they seriously change the interior.

Zoink, I don't know what to say. Well, yes, I do. I will be SHOCKED if that model even gets CLOSE to being made.
Sure, some part of it will end up on the road...but come on. That front drivers door will never fly here in the states...and that dash...looks like something Captain Kirk would drive.
Points given for thinking, but I really, really don't think this is the next SCION we will see in the showroom.
I could be wrong.

Scion t2B forecasts possible future for xB
By Mark Rechtin
Automotive News / March 24, 2005
NEW YORK -- Toyota's Scion youth brand unveiled three concepts for future products: a possible heir to the xB along with scale models of a mini-truck and a three-door fastback.
All three vehicles are designed to be built from the Avensis platform that also spawned the Scion tC coupe.
The t2B concept gives broad hints at a potential successor to the xB, but Toyota spokesman Mike Michels cautioned that the vehicles are merely "exploratory."
"It's not to be interpreted as the next xB, but as a number of possible directions for Scion to go," Michels said.
The t2B -- which stands for "Tall Two-Box" -- uses the same 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine as the tC and Toyota Camry.
Scion designed two different door concepts on the t2B. For rear-seat access, the driver's side has remote-controlled doors hinged at the rear, while the passenger's side has one large power-sliding door. Neither side of the car has traditional B-pillars.
The t2B has a massive rear window that doubles as a projection screen for movies or video games.
Scion designers made the headliner the widest area inside the car. The extra headroom gives an ambiance similar to a lounge hangout for the t2B's four occupants.
Scion also presented two other vehicles in one-quarter scale model form. The "Cargo" is a two-seater mini-truck with a small bed for messy gear. The Fastback takes a more aggressive approach to the t2B with a steeply raked rear hatch.

I for one like it very much. I expect that they'll go with a more traditional fog light lay out because people don't like asymmetry. I also expect they'll do a traditional door set up and add a rear window. 1) because the #1 gripe about the element is that stupid door layout and 2) blind spots kill. ;-) With those changes done, I'd def. trade one of the xB's for this.
I'm sad I missed the web cast

Those huge side doors are sweet. If they could get the seats to swivel, or come out, that would be sweet, too.
Cool for hanging out, but also cool for mobility clients and handicapped folks.
