Im giving the wife the truck so i can get one! Well im trying anyways. She likes it but wants an IS. Bleck! Overpriced and underpowered. They look nice but my tC's back seat is bigger even if it only has 2 doors.

Again, congrats!

So you got snow tires, are you mounting them on the stockies? Do you plan on getting new wheels? From the pics it looks like new wheels would make it look perfect.

I've been curious what SPT parts are worth getting from the factory, for whenever its right for me to get a subie. How is the short throw shifter?

Snow tires are already mounted on the OEM wheels. I had them in storage for the past couple months and they mounted them when I picked up the car. Hopefully... these OEM wheels will just stay winter wheels, but I don't know yet. Depends on a lot of things in the spring. We'll see how it goes.

As for SPT parts... I don't know. If you can get invoice pricing on them, just about any would probably be a decent deal. I'm happy with the shifter though. I can't say I recall what an OEM one would feel like. The 2010 I test drove had the OEM shifter but that was probably almost 4 months ago.

One problem I ran into was the roof rack. I think I may have mentioned it already but it did not come installed on the car... it was in a box in the back. Not a big deal really b/c it's cake to install... well, it should be cake if you aren't missing parts.

There were two small (but important) pieces missing from mine so I couldn't install it yet. The dealer has already ordered the parts and is sending them to me ASAP. So I'll get that an my faring installed as soon as they arrive.

Also need to install my rally armor - hopefully this weekend.

What pieces were missing? It's literally just the rails, towers w/ cover, and wingnut bolt thing that holds it down.

I didn't feel like getting the tool out of my car to take off the cover...but this is literally everything, it should have come pre-assembled inside the box.

Tower, cover, bolt holding cover on, and cover thingy to cover the cover bolt.

And the bolt that holds it all to the car.

Also, when you do finally mount it...before putting the cover back on the tower, make sure the wingnut is parallel with the sides of the car. Otherwise, there won't be enough clearance for the tower covers to properly fit.

So I'm missing one of the cover screw covers (not a big deal) and then one of the rings that the main wingnut seats into...

What it's supposed to look like:

What mine looks like:

I really have absolutely no idea how either of these parts could be missing - but considering the box was open when I went to install it, I'm thinking someone already tried to install it but found missing parts and put it back in the box.

So far so good. After a few phones calls to SOA and having to go to the local dealer twice, I FINALLY got a replacement roof rack last week that I can (and did) install. Matter of factly, I just finally installed the roof rack (and fairing) today. Oh... and I have about 1600 miles so far (after about 6 weeks).

See...

Serious car is serious.

bump. I copped your ride son! Haha, WRB 5 door picked up a couple days ago. I was expecting a long wait like yours but amazingly I ordered it Jan 6th and it got here the 25th. It was so soon that I wasn't sure what to think.

Did you end up getting a clear bra? That is the only thing I may buy in the near term since I drive on the DC beltway a couple times a week. Otherwise I'm gonna wait and get a better feel for the car before buying anything. Although I am itching to hear the rumble so I'd prbly get a catback sometime after break in.
