Default Sooo... if i get an eg hatch, what swap should i get?

Like the title says.. I only have about 6 grand for it and i might just get an already swapped eg, but not sure yet? B16 and B18c1 have same hp (~170 i think) but gsr has more lower torque and the h22 has 210 hp stock (once again i think), but are known for there problems, What would you go with? Also i would love an itr or k series but im pretty sure thats out of my price range

H22 are a bad thing in a hatch. I have heard from alot of honda guys its not the best. A K20 is a good way to go. But a B16 or B18 is always a good choice.

See im looking to boost, definately but i would really like a k swapped eg but thats a little out of my price range i think, unless i find a good deal... im kinda leaning towards gsr and boost? and i know about the h22's i dont think i would get that, its heavy and has known problems...
oh and tctctc im looking for a decent amount, high 200, low 3's.. overall i have 9 grandish, but i figure 6 max for car and 3 for boost

If you want to boost it, then either go for a B series or build a D and turbo.

but i heard gsr's have the same capacity for boost and have same compression for boost as b16, but the gsr's have more torque

Boost, i'd go for H series. I worked on one that was fully built/o-ringed/35r with full race manifold. Thing was super powerful. (needed slicks for traction on dyno) They're more expensive to build, but they make more power/torque.

N/A id say a K20.

Search around Honda-Tech. It's a really big help. Also, if you want to buy a hatch thats already swapped, you can usually find one with a B series for fairly cheap.

Boost isnt cheap, and dont cheap out on boost..

..what ever you figure out its going to cost, most likely times that by two..

save and k20 that m'fer, itll pay off when u start it the 1st time and youll be happier in the long run..

Okay so some opinions... k20 eg hatch or boosted si or gsr?
Another thing is that k20 hatchs are pretty hard to find, its not that common of a swap

it depends on what you really wanna do go NA or boosted but a K series is a great motor all around as you get rid of the timing belt for starters and makes more base HP but the vtec isnt nearly as strong.

the H series motors dont really know a hole lot about them but they are common motors and there out of a prelude which is a very quick/fast car with nice vtec kick..a lot of guys back when i came from the honda crowd were swapping them into there integras.

the B series motors are very strong all around. you could go b16 but for the same money id b18 with ether a b16 head to go for a poor mans type r conversion. the b18c is deff gonna give you more power stock then the b18b but the b18b/vtec conversion is deff got more torque and is low cost but the b18c is the better motor for boost but if you are set on going boost you can always pick up a b20b block very cheap and do a vtec head on it or just lose vtec and go all boost

dont go D simple
