In the 70's they said that poop about Toyota, Nissan, and Honda too.
Looks who's laughing.
The new Hyundai Genesis is going to be a great deal for those with their heads NOT in their asses and the other makers will start to worry.
Hyundai has come a long way.
Now they've arrived.
I've been agreeing a lot with you a lot. I think I'll just quote your posts all the time and say +1, unless it's about oil

Hyundai had a lot of problems with quality in the mid to late 90s with their cars, but they made a very aggressive change and have really proven themselves. They were the first to come out with the 10 year, 100k warranty to prove they were serious about quality.

I doubt they will ever take over Toyota as #1, but they aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

I think you should start listening to his posts about oil. He's dead on with that. Btw, jiffy lube? They use the cheapest crap *cough*pennzoil*cough* and don't even use a Toyota filter, they just put in whatever they make the most profit off of. That's assuming they even do the oil change.

Have you guys ever looked at the hyndai? I swear all they do is rip off what other car makers have already made, each of their cars looks just like one already in production by the next top company...i.e. sonata=accord, from the 03-04 era I think it is...I will find some pics and show what I mean, if this is unclear, which I suspect it may be

^ya but I think the hyndai is the most notorious for this, at least honda and BMW have established themselves as reputable companies...o and let's not forget Toyota! haha

Hope the trade works out well for you!

Hyundai/Kia are both doing well on the initial quality side. I didn’t much like the brand until I was forced to rent a Spectra, it was pretty much a Honda Civic the car drove well and I was impressed. A few cons The 10 year 100k mile warrantee is not transferable so if anyone gets one used they are out of luck. The depreciation is still horrible.

Ya Hyundai/Kia steal others ideas, because they know they work it is a compliment and they don’t have to pay for Research and Development (R&D) Plus you are able to get the car for about 1/3 off what the others charge.

As for Toyota Reliability it is not as great as it use to be. Consumer reports and others are not automatically recommending all Toyotas anymore because of the problems they have had recently.

As for a BMW over a Hyundai where can you get a new BMW for 25k or even 30k? A new 3 series is going for 35k in my area. Yah you can get a used one, but have fun paying the repair bills. These vehicles are not even in the same class.

If you are picking up girls based on what kind of car you drive that is sad. Unless you are not looking for a long term relationship.
