T1
The Caparo T1, the British sports car with twice the power-to-weight-ratio of a Bugatti Veyron, will make its world debut in Monaco next week. It will be unveiled by His Serene Highness Prince Albert II at the Top Marques Show, which takes place at the Grimaldi Forum in Monte Carlo.
"The T1 is a truly exceptional car," says Top Marques event director Robert Evans, "and its groundbreaking approach will appeal not only to our VIP visitors but also mainstream automotive engineers facing the enormous challenge of how to stop cars from getting heavier and heavier with each new generation."
Excess weight is certainly not a problem for the Caparo, which weighs less than 500kg and uses a 2.4-litre V8 engine producing 500bhp. Projected performance figures are 0-60mph in 2.5 seconds, 0-100mph in 5 seconds, 0-100-0mph in "less than ten seconds" (comfortably less, we'd have thought) and cornering and braking ability of up to 3g.
Designed by former McLaren engineers Ben Scott-Geddes and Graham Halstead, the car was originally known as the Freestream T1 before the project was bought by the UK-based multinational Caparo company.

Its not attaching like the two front wheels to the rest of the chassis with an exposed aluminum tubular frame is any new on a consumer car.
But it is still a nice car and will hopefully promote that great performing car doesn't need so much cladding. On the subject of keeping slim another interesting sporty luxury sedan to keep an eye out for with its aluminum tubular space chassis is this model branded under a reintroduction of a classic.
Btw, I know there are cars that were sold to consumer using that configuration way before the Prowler but I forgot the name of them, I know one of them was a Lotus in the 1950s.

looks realy different and goes 0-60 in the same time as the veyron. I think it might be a lot cheaper though because the veyron is also a luxury car. $20,000 in the sound system alone! caparo looks to unconventional to atract buyers. finaly, a 2.4L v8. That thing is tiny. a stabe at farrai and honda in terms of efficency. are there any other pics of the car like in a car show?
