Default TC vs. Colbalt SS

How does a TC with a cold air intake match up with a Factory stock Colbalt SS with the factory supercharger. I have been wandering this for a while know, but cant seem to find any information on comparing these two. Thanks!!!

It gets its a$$ handed to it. You are comapring a forced induction car to a car with a filter and pipe that gives it maybe 5whp.

yea the cobalt ss will tear up the tC in the same respect that a supercharged tC will destroy a stock cobalt

The REAL question is whether a Cobalt SS could beat a Turbonetic turboed tC.

^ Hell no, not a stock Cobalt SS atleast. A Turbonetics tC can look forward to seeing 13.7 with a good launch and sticky tires.

The real question and only question is which is faster, a Cobalt SS or a Supercharged tC?

That is a much better question. How a forced induction tc would fair against a forced induction cobalt.

There is a guy around here that has one and I have raced him a couple times. Its neck and neck till about third gear until his SC starts pulling hard.

The tC will lose unless the Cobalt driver sucks *****. That's all common sense.

I think it's quite ludicrous that a 26 year old would even be concerned with this type of thing, let alone not be able to discern it his or herself. There have been lots of incidents with tCs and street races, none of them are pretty--a few fatalities. If you want to race, do it right or don't it at all.

Think of it this way also if you will buy the car the Chevy will be worth less that the scion when you are over with. That was a big thing with my decision.

why dont you just look up the answers yourself? its really not hard. No offence or anything but these threads just get out of hand with people commng in and telling stories and so on and so fourth. Maybe nextime you can just do the research yourself.

plus there is a bigger WHP diff between the two cars as well. and you cant keep your warranty with a 7000rpm redline in the tc either. unlike the stage kits
