License plate is off. again
Question time! Replace the exhaust tip with a tC tip or just cut the damn thing off?

Ok, so here's an update.
-Car is stored in the garage
-Painted the silver window sill, back to black, how it's supposed to be
-Spoon mirrors and Depo fog lights are ordered
-OBX bottom brace is still not installed. Doh.
-Debating on lowering the car more while it's in the garage, not sure yet.

Opinions?

^^ that's looking MUCH better than the day you took the first pics. It looked rough before, now it's much cleaner, smoother! good job!

Hey any news about that main oil seal leak? were you able to check the axles and make sure they weren't leaking from the transmission?

And the wheels? Those are CX/DX steel wheels on there. What happened to the alloy wheels that the HX comes with standard?

The leak is for sure the rear main. I'm gonna have it replaced in about a year because that's when the car will start being used. The car is being stored in the garage because of my parent's divorce.

I really wish I had the HX rims. From what I see on the fender liner, the car used to have rubbing issues along it, so I'm guessing that one of the owners sold the HX rims when they upgraded and when they sold it they got the first/cheapest set of rims they could find. But oh well, Si rims here I come!

yeah I remember I weighed the HX wheels. They were like 11lbs! seriously light! But the problem was that if you got a slightly less than perfect tire it would weigh more than the wheel and you'd feel the vibration. Was crazy trying to get those perfectly smooth. So maybe it's better you don't have them.

The Si wheels, oh from 99-2000.. Yeah I remember those, very nice!

Oh and the oil seal doesn't matter if you're not driving it, yes I keep forgetting you can't drive it yet ;) that must drive you nuts that you gotta wait. I still remember waiting for the right age to get a permit. That was a long long year. lol

one more thing, don't forget that you can bolt up a rear sway bar to the civic, not just the HX. The Si part and links work perfectly. Honda put all the holes in the control arms and frame, but bean-counters didn't allow them to put it in the civic! It was designed to have it there, but they just didn't pay for it. The Si sway bar and links are cheap too. I think it's a 13mm bar.

here are the parts and manchester honda's prices (good honda place) (www.manchestermotorsports.com)

QTY: 1 52300-S52-A01 SPRING, RR. (13MM) Honda ALL $62.94 / Each$62.94
QTY: 2 52308-S04-000 HLDR, RR. STABILIZER $3.84 / Each$7.68
QTY: 4 93403-08020-08 BOLT-WASHER (8X20) $1.00 / Each$4.00
QTY: 4 95701-08018-08BOLT, FLANGE (8X10]$1.00 / Each$4.00
QTY: 2 52317-S04-000 BRKT, RR. STABILIZER $8.95 / Each$17.90
QTY: 1 52320-S04-003 LINK ASSY., R. RR. $45.82 / Each$45.82
QTY: 1 52321-S04-003 LINK ASSY., L. RR.$42.35 / Each$42.35
QTY: 2 90002-S10-000 NUT, FLANGE (10MM) $1.71 / Each$3.42
QTY: 2 90212-SA5-003 NUT (10MM) $1.00 / Each$2.00
SubTotal$190.11

unless you can get an aftermarket for cheaper.

Yeah, the wait is killer haha. I forgot about the sway bar, and I think I'm going to do the Si sway bar since I still want something that's normal for a DD. Also, the modding bug is still biting me, anyone have any suggestions on a small mod?

car is looking good! Depo makes some pretty qualitly stuff for a cheap price. I had their projector headlights on my neon and they were super bright. Only thing that sucked on them was the adjustment screw broke so they were kind of high.

Alright, opinion time.
I'm in the market for a new exhaust, because I have a REALLY bad leak in my current exhaust. So here's what I'm thinking right now.

1) Tsudo N1, install my current high flow cat to keep it semi-quiet
2) Get all new custom piping with a 20" resonator and reuse my high flow cat, and get a muffler.
3) Get the Tsudo N1 then replace the muffler down the road to something along the lines of Apex'i WS2.

Right now I'm leaning towards option 3, because I'm a sucker for a WS2. I also have an issue with burning my new rear lip, so that's playing a roll in this also.
