When I was shopping for my 1G xB, I considered the upcoming Nissan Cube and Kia Soul. The Cube was appealing because of its 6 speed manual tranny, but probably won't meet my needs because from what I can determine, it doesn't have a flat cargo floor (I have to roll an 85 lb. telescope into it), and its rear seats don't fold flat. They simply push forward, limiting the cargo space for my scope.
The Kia Soul would fit my needs better, but I got my xB for about $6,000 less than a new Kia.

nah, I still prefer this bodystyle,
when these car get americanized, they have to extend the front and rear bumper covers to fit out standards. then they end up with these Jay Leno chins and saggy booties. Tomas made a good point that was noted in the Japan magazine reviews about the a-pillars being a litle too thick. but they can't be any worse the a Dodge Neon's or even the tC's for that matter. hell, even the my xD's are in the way sometimes.
last years model to the new one
if it's a Versa or Tiida as it's known in Japan, I hope they fixed the poor braking performance
