I always thought that having two SS's for the same model was beyond stupid. I think they finally fixed that mistake this year. The S/C is the SS, and the one with the upgrade engine (2.4 170 HP) is the S.

The 2 models was kinda like what they did back in the 60s and 70s. Example the chevelle ss there was the 396 models and the 454 models and they both came in various horsepower versions. kinda kool how they were trying to bring back the old feeling abit.

I happen to have "Consumer Report" open in front of me right now.

Cobalt: Bad reliability and satisfaction. 205hp 2.0 supercharged.

Scion tC: Average reliability and good satisfaction. 200hp supercharged.

yes they did. the nova had an ss 350 and an ss 396 and the small block outperformed the big block. thats y i don't get y people are making such a big deal about if its not supercharged its not an SS. the 2.4 has alot of power and is significantly more than the base 2.2.
