Default What should I get next.

Well, Ive done some research and have the next car pick down to the following. If anyone has experience or knowledge of these let me know (good or bad). I kind of ranked them in order of my choices.

1. 2009 Honda Civic Si coupe.
2. Genesis Coupe Track (not sure whether to get the 2.0t or the 3..
3. Chevy Cobalt SS Turbo
4. VW GTI 2 door.
5. Volvo C30.

Im hoping to spend under $30k. If I can swing it I would really like to get the Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track but thats alot of car and at the absolute top of the budget. Thoughts.

out of those car i would go with the genesis i test drove the 2.0t on friday and it was awesome! (track form also) the brembos are great, the seats are comfortable and hold you just like my recaros did. the wheels look awesome. interior is very refined for a sports car. and the rwd is friggen awesome.

also. that car screws haha. i would go with the 3.8 tho the turbo is nice but for some reason it doesnt have that kick you in the back of your seat like other turbos (ie turbo tC or WRX) i also test drove an 08 350z the same day and teh Z blew it out of the friggen water!

either way the genisis track version is awesome

Get the Genesis 2.0 and with some tuning you can get the hp close to the V6 without the weight of the V6. Plus it looks the best out of your choices.

Get the Civic SI... sooo many aftermarket options available, and its cheaper than most of these.

Hyundai may have released a decent looking RWD affordable car, but its still a Hyundai.

Chevy Cobalts, just on't do it for me, same for the SRT4's. Interior is ____ on both cars.

As for the Volvo C30 I don't know enough about it to say.

I personally like the styling on the VW GTI, but I would'nt buy a VW for reliablitly/quality reasons.

Please no chevy, just not quality made cars. Very common also. Have you thought about any Subarus or turbo Saabs?

have you driven any of them?

Civic SI is slow as fk (test drove an 09 and beat the living ____ out of it back in October) very dissapointed.

Genesis 2.0t is quick, comfortable and refined (drove one last week, very impressed with it, and i never considered one in the past due to the fact that its still a hyundai

Cobalt SS is quick but extremely uncomfortable. theres no back seat and the front seats feel cheap. and the exterior styling is less then par (have not driven one but i intend to)

Volvo is a really cool car 5 cylinder turbo 6 speed pretty quick, interior is great exterior is cool but with an ugly **** (almost bought one last year lol)

VW is great as for a reliablity issue i cant say anything positive or negative but a few of my friends love their GTIs and R32s.

out of all those cars i would get a 2009 Subaru WRX :D 265 turbocharged hp, AWD, 5 speed, great interior, beautiful and aggressive exterior, and a Flat 4 :D

yea thats what i hate about civics you dont feel their power until vteck kicks in and that above 5500 rpms unless your going to be doing that every day......i was going to get the civic over the scon but the scion is a better deal than the civic not as fast but much better...

i know you can get the vteck lowered to 4500 rpm or something like that but that cost a few hundred to do a ECU Reflash

the scion on the other hand you do feel the power above 3000 rpm...

but i would go with a evo 8 or WRX for under 30k expesive to maintaine but there fast

I vote Genesis Coupe Track. I am guessing the 2.0t since it is in the 25k price range. The v6 would be nice but a lot more money.
You should see what HKS did to the Genesis Coupe. I forget where I was reading it, but they did a real nice job. And I would think that it will be getting more aftermarket support but you will have to wait.

The other thing, Genesis Coupe is RWD, the rest (IDK about volvo ) are FWD. That would be a big selling point for me.

I am not going to say no the the Cobalt SS, it has come a long way, but I think if you get into these cars you will see that it really isn't up to par on refinement with the others. Especially the VW interior or Volvo.

I am not going to say too much about the VW because I know I am bias against them for no good reason other than some jerk Jetta drivers. My brother's roommate has the GTI and I was giving him crap about it, but then I looked at it and I have to say he did a nice job and it is a nice car. Plus if it is true, the reflash on the GTI can give you nice gains without turning a wrench.

The biggest complaint I hear about the Si is that it has no torque. Same guy that has the GTI now had the Si, (he is a good driver too, did autocross and all) was having to launch the Si at 2500 RPMs just to get it going. You only get the power on the top end with that car once VTEC kicks in. Nice thing is it gets killer gas mileage.

I will say to the Volvo, they are real nice cars (I like them, had the s40 for a week). But wait till you get your first service bill. They are not cheep to maintain.

Get in the cars and see which one you like more. You will know when you find it.
