Default Whats a good nice/luxury level SUV in the market rightnow?

My mom is looking for a new car since our old van is almost to its breaking point. She likes vans but ill be damned to have her buy an Odyssey or Sienna. I suggested an SUV but the only SUV im in love with is the FX35 (old ones, new body style is ugly IMO). She needs something that can carry all the stuff she gets from Costco everyweek But I read the FX35 doesnt have too much space? Im not too knowledgeable in the SUV department, but she does want to pick up something nice, maybe even a luxury SUV like the FX if the price is right. Any one have any suggestions on what I can look into?

I also woudnt mind it, roads here in NY are really bad, especially in the city. And I woudnt mind a quiet car when I take trips to jersey to play ball and whatnot.

Yeah I was looking at the EX, looks pretty nice, im just worried about the actual seating space, might be the same as a car? And the new Toyota Venza commericial is piff, looks really nice. I woudnt mess with an Element or the RX (soccer mom car lol).

Oh wow I forgot about the CX-7, my mom is a Mazda fan, going from an MPV to a CX-7 might not be a bad idea.

I heart the FX, but afraid it might be too small, it has the BEST interior in luxury SUVs IMO. Mercedez is alright and BMW seems pretty boring as well.
