I went to the closest dealer in my area and they only had a 4-door. Not my style. I really want to test drive the hatch.

just saw an absolute red hatch a few hours ago at stevens creek toyota... *drool*

first impressions:
- the thing doesn't have a tachometer? it's an option???
- cup holders on dash and on doors.. compartments everywhere... weird storage areas.. things opening up everywhere.. interesting.. very cool.
- havc controls neat... vertically placed *****
- back seat leg room isn't bad
- back seats recline too... cool..
- trunk area has decent space
- spare tire was easy to access.. lots of room in there for you audiophiles that wanna add a big subwoofer in the trunk.
- engine compartment... ROOMY!!! omg there's so much room! more so than the xA even... and it has the same engine
- computer is on the firewall, inside the engine bay... no crazy wiring thru the firewall.. very nice.

overall... three mutant thumbs up

i'm really debating on keeping my tC.... but trying to see if parents will buy it for the brother..

great price!

Test drove one yesterday and it was okay. Front end is nice but the back end reminds of me of the Kia Spectra. I would like to see the hatch when it gets here. I'll give it a "pinky" for now.

The Yaris enters the market at the same time as the '07 Camry and FJ. Though it will be greatly overshadowed, hopefully the Yaris will not diminish the xA, as the xA did the Echo.

What's the price on the hatchback? I too got a insert in my monthly bill. The sedan looks a lot bigger than the hatchback. Is there a big difference in price?

I've got a Yaris S in stock.

it's nice...especially with the gas prices on the rise.

What the draw to buy a yaris over an XA or XB. You really cant beat the Scion standard equipment list.

Though the Yaris is much nicer than the Echo ever was, it is still very much the same in terms of the quality.

To me, the Scions offer much more comfort and solidity than the Yaris. Think of it this way to, it is made to compete with the more mainstream subcompacts like the Rio and Aveo.

Bottom line is that the xA/xB offers the personalization that the Yaris lacks. When purchased with the convenience packages available, the Yaris climbs into Scion terratory with ease.

The Yaris gives Toyota quality and reliability whereas the Scions give a more "user-friendly" less "econobox" feel.
