Yea, he has blown his motor SOOOO many times, he hasn't for awhile, so he's doing it right. I like the car tho. I wish I had pics of my friend's 500WHP Civic Hatchback that is like 900 lbs lighter than our cars.

Actually, this is the ONLY pic he has. I never seen it in person tho.

Wait, you have never seen it in person, yet he is your friend... Does the same go for the guy with the Prelude?
The guy with the Prelude actually did the turbo kit on my car. I've seen his car many times. I saw it when it was yellow and saw it with the new paint job.

The Civic is always apart. He blew his 3rd gear, then he took the motor out to paint the engine bay black, etc. We're not GOOD friends, we just know each other.

So far, this is the only video of it right now. This vid it's pushing around 425whp.

His Prelude and the Civic would kill that tC. Plus, it looks kinda slow. Didn't pull that hard. The Civic has 500WHP, yes, but is also 900 lbs lighter. You do the math...

The ZR1 has 620 HP and 598 TQ at the crank. The Prelude guy has over 650WHP/WTQ and is probably lighter. I don't know his exact power numbers, but judging by that old dyno, it's well over that.

Those are very nice numbers and probably a nice car. I just drool over a ZR1 every time I see it. I'd take a Vette over any car, especially the ZR1.

No idea, it's a huge turbo, so maybe 4000RPM. He's running a T-60 I think, but it's a custom one, true ported, etc. He doesn't say much about his set up. Has 2 HKS BOVs, hahaha.

Is the ZR1 even out yet? There's a guy with a brand new ZO6 in the neighborhood and if that's not enough, he has another Corvette that's like 4 years older. Nice Corvettes. I wouldn't be surprised if he got the ZR1.

and just because he has the car, doesn't mean it is always out, or on the road or whatever. if my uncle told me he had a silver anniversary corvette, i would have never believed him because i've never seen him drive anything other than a tractor and his pick up truck, but sure enough helping him move years ago, low and behold buried in his garage under a car cover and many boxes, a 25th anniversary corvette, he just never drives it. lol.

SWEET CAR! LOL, plus these cars have so much power, it wouldn't be wise to drive them all the time. The Prelude guy also has a Jeep, which is good since we live in CO. Not sure about the Civic guy. Don't know him that well as the Prelude guy.

The sad thing about our cars is that it would take at least DOUBLE the money he spent on that engine to make our tCs that powerful.

neil, he isn't talking about a laser, like the beam of light or a space age weapon, he is probably talking about the plymouth laser, which was a rebadged mitsubishi eclipse. it is what you call a captive import. while plymouth is lame, the AWD turbo versions would be considered pretty cool...
