5spd manual tc vs 6 spd gt v6 tiburon would be all about the drivers skill and reaction time.

auto vs auto, who can put a shifter in 'd' and push the gas pedal quicker wins.

damn then i have a little catching up to do against my friends AEM intake and Ark exhaust.

Have you heard the gt tiburons? i think they sound amazing especially with the Ark exhaust. i drove it and jeebus its nice, feels solid.

i wonder if i would need intake and catback or just intake and axleback. what do yall think?

they are heavy, and yeah, a v6 probably has a much nicer harmony.

well as i remember, the older 2003 tiburons dynoed on average like 150 hp, 160 tq.....at about 3000 lbs, thats not the quickest.......plus even the newest tiburons, have a very small v6....a 2.7 L. for the best one....thats a pretty tiny v6! i would say a drivers race between a stock tiburon gt and a stock tc.....

actually the 03 is nearly the same as the 07 and is the same as the 06. 03 was the first year of the new body style. they come stock at 170hp and 181ft lbs at around 3k lbs. 2.7L V6 aint too small i knew someone with a Mazda MX3 with a 1.8 liter V6 now that is small as hell.

once i get my intake and exhaust we'll see.
if anyone challenges one i want to know. and i dont care about autos psh they shouldnt be racing anyway.

no i definitely dont think so. the v6 tib's are pretty decent. one kept up with me for about 1 second.. then i hit the gas.

No, Pollup, he is right. For the most part it's a drivers race, but I tip my hat toward the tC to pull of the win.

No what? A tC won't beat a Tib? Or a Tib won't beat a tC? I'm confused.

I know from personal experience that a 5-speed tC can beat a six cylinder Tib.
I'm with you, he made no sense.

yeah i raced my friend gt v6 and he has catback and intake and i just have intake and i could beat him if i raced perfect (which didnt happen everytime)

ok so he beat me 4 out of 5 times because basically his car is faster. i would smoke him off the launch (torque and driving skill) but he would usually catch me and pull me after 3rd.

i beat him because i shifted perfectly each time and it was probably by less than half a length.

i will probably get a catback soon so then it will be a more even match up.
