Because even with all those mods, the 07+ Si is still a faster car stock.

Unfortunately he's right. They are putting down at the wheels close to what tC's are putting down at the flywheel stock. Go F/I or get another car if you can't live with that.

another thing that ppl really also dont understand..it plays on the driver to...not just all those mods.......

i will say it again.......

My boy rocks a 07 Scion tC with a Injen Intake, Tsudo N1 Catback system, Short Shifter, and DC Headers.... runs a 15.5 at the track

My other Friend drives a 07 Civic Si with only Dc Sport headers and exhaust system.. runs a 15.2 at the track....

Whocares505050 just bought a 08 Civic Si and runs a 14.8 i think and he it stock

yup si are faster. You at least put a sc to compete evenly with the si or else dont embarass yourself racing with him.. i assure you, you will be dissapointed

nope. its n/a

my dad has an 07 Si and my sister has a tC. with drivers of equal skill i honestly dont see a tC with all the bolt ons beating an Si (07 that is). add some f/i to the tC so you can turn the tables.

well, with the mods listed you lost some low end torque and gained high end horsepower.

to beat an Si, you need all the torque you can get, because that is what is going to get you the win.

when i was fully stock, i raced an Si, and i was beating him by at least a cars length, then once i hit the top of 3rd gear he took off, and i lost.

from light to light, a stock tC should be able to beat it, the stock Si puts down 197hp, and 139tq, a stock tC puts down 161hp, 160tq or something like that.

when my car was dynoed i ran a 145whp, 152wtq.. we put down alot of torque, and that will easily be able to beat the Si off the line, since they arent even making that at the crank.

if you want to beat it, or at least get a better chance at beating it, take off your intake/header.. they arent doing anything for you, not at least without a tune.

Here's another reason why, b/c w/ just those mods, the Si gains a lot. Just b/c you have more mods definitely doesn't mean your car is putting nearly as much power. High tech motor > econo motor.

one thing i like about tC's is that there is no Lx,Ex,Si..etc. so think of your stock tC up against a stock 07 civic, and also think of the price of the Si compared to the stock tC...about 4 grand so of course hes gonna have more power, add that 4 grand to your stock tC and im sure you'll be able to compete...am i making any sense? or somebody please correct me.

yes hypothesis, you make perfect sense to me. 4k into a stock tC engine definately make it go faster, if not you've done something weird, lol.

and he owes me money cause i was gonna buy something from him and after some time he's kept my money and ignores me.

In a C&D magazine test of sedans under $20K, the Civic sedan w/ a 5 speed wasnt too much slower than a 5 speed tC. Plus it gets over 30 MPG easy.
