Honda Civic SOHC Turbo VS Scion TC S/C
#10
It will be a close race...
SOHC civic turbo running 6-8lbs of boost should push close to or around 200whp
We all know the S/C tc runs that - however you do have the torque advantage. You could beat him at the launch and try and stay ahead. Any turbo car will have the advantage in the higher rpms.

Where you see that at? Unless I've been living under a rock, I still haven't seen a S/C break 13's yet.

But really...I'm going for the Turbo Civic. Now if it were a turbo tC vs. turbo civic...then well...

you do know with an auto turbo has a small advantage over the s/c... being that he will be in constant boost and less gears to slow him down vs a manual that will have more loss of boost at every shift point then the auto with more gears... its common sense the auto even on low boost should be able to pull a s/c tc.. hell ive done that to a few s/c tc's.. its also a drivers race some what.. who ever is driving the manual might be a crappy ___ driver...

i've never relly seen a 2006 civic lx turbo so i wouldnt know wut they run but i guess they might have the weight advantage if the civic is automatic i would think it has a disadvantage vs. a manual sc tc and the driver also has alot to do with it, and i dont think any mildly modded tc's can beat a manual sc tc

tc is 200 lbs hevier then the civic...also with a smaller redline..
an auto turbo has more advantage over a manual becuause it stay in boost longer then the manual....think of how many shift points 4(auto) and 5(manual) on every shift the manual looses power were at on the auto the shift is so minimal they loose very little boost.
weight diff. is 200 lbs give or take which can make a good diference in who wins and who looses..also the driver of the manual can be a crappy driver which will give the auto turbo even more of an advantage... the civic also makes power through out the power band were as even in the SC tc. it reaches peak at 6k and then is either linear or dips.
in the short/long run the auto has the advantage in most case...
1tc4u2nv: now that your s/c is fixed. as soon as i have my new head wana let me take a crack at ya =].. ive taken out 1 SC tc a few weeks back.. maybe he was a horrible driver... but i was about a fender ahead of him when i got the speed cut =\
