I highly recomend having the spouse or gf involved. For me, it makes it much easier to explain my $2000 a year tire habit.

Some of mine, they're floating around elsewhere on here...

Hard braking + stock suspension + horrible camera

Sorry, no exciting shots like Scion South's

None of my buddies came to track days yet, I'll get some VIR shots on here soon enough...

I've always wanted to autocross it, but the only thing I've been able to do is the dragstrip...

aah, the fun of Test & Tune racing. My first run in my old '67 Cougar was against a dragster. I couldn't even hear my car running & had over a second reaction time.

Yikes! I'm hoping to make it through the year on one set of tires. I went with the Hankooks because they're a little harder than 140 treadwear at 200, but still fat & stickier than regular tires.

It's gonna be harder to justify any more spending, as we're getting married this summer & we'd like to have some $$ left for the honeymoon...

Nice pictures everybody.

The quaility of the pictures doesn't matter that much to me. I think it's great that other Scion owners are having fun driving the ____ out of their Scions.

While we are on the topic of autocrossing.

Scion South will be holding Clash of the Scions 2.0 in the month of July.

Based on the the tentative schedule for the CKRSCCA, we are probably looking at July 6th or July 27th.

As of right now these dates are still tentative, but I'd say the July will be the month.

I'll try to keep everybody up to date, but you might want to check www.ckrscca.org every once in a while to see the full season schedule.

We will have free entry for Scion drivers and prizes for the top finishers like last year. That's right FREE entry Scion South is paying your entry fee, so you can play for FREE.

I'm also thinking about working up an additional prize for anybody driving a Scion that beats my Fastest Time of the Day.

So check your local regions for regular SCCA Solo events. Get to as many of them as you can. Seat time is more important than just about anything you can do to your car. The level of competition was great last year and I expect it to be even better this year.

As the dates get firmed up I will post a separate thread to keep everybody informed.

PM or email me if you have any questions.

Now back on topic. Let's see some more pictures.

it IS! It taught me that I wasn't as good a driver as I thought I was. And that's what the old-timers told me before I even drove.

You should give it a try!

Great-looking TC!

I wish we lived closer to KY - sounds like fun!
