Question for you guys, actually two Q's.
1. What does PAX mean for SCCA?
2. Am I blind here? Look down the the "STN" class, there are three cars. Eclipse, Altima, and xB. I have the xB. How am I in third place out of the three when I had the fastest time out of the three? Does the SCCA have some scoring system I don't understand?

PAX (or index)is like a handicap system.
It's a multiplier that's supposed to handicap more modified cars, so, in theory, you can race a much faster car, but be on a 'level' playing field.
The two cars above you looked like they had a G Stock PAX & you had an STS PAX. You should have a ST (Street Touring) PAX, which still would be harder to beat a car with a stock index.
I'm not familiar with the classes your region runs. Is STN a rookie class for Street Touring?
If you & the cars above you are all in STN, I would assume you all should have ST indexes...
As in Chicago (or Milwaukee) Region, we don't count the Civics...

STN is a novice class, that's all I know. The SCCA classes confuse me to no end so I really have no idea where I am supposed to be or why I'm in STS. I do know that I was in STN because it was my first time driving with SCCA.

Looks like you need a 2step. What's your time slip look like?

I'm in STS now, still not 100% sure as to why, but that is where I was told I should be. I love auto-x so much now, soooooo much fun now that I have a series I can compete in.
