In that video from NJ that starts off with you chasing that Mini....right around the 2:20 mark you are completely overwhelming that red Mazda. Loved it!

Funny story about that Mazda. That is the CPE MS3 driven by Gary Fontaine, he was pretty fast this year. He is a nice guy. 2008 season I was able to beat him a a couple of events then this year he got really good and his car was faster as well. In Chicago past season he crushed me LOL. Then I put the built motor in and was able to give him a run in NJ.
He ended up running .09 seconds faster than me to put me off the podium. Problem was, it was my loss, I sandbagged all weekend with 130whp and waited untill the final time attack session to crank up the boost.I blew an important braking zone all timed laps and even went through the cones on one lap LOL. I forgot to brake earlier to compensate for the increased power.

Dang Coryjames...seeing those front tires rumple up like that on launch is making really hard to not want to buy a set of drag wheels/tires and flex my straight-line muscles. Are those Hoosiers up front? Can't really see because of the blur and I have terrible eyes. Awesome pics, man. Keep it up!

Do you know what type of power the Mazda is putting down and/or how much it weighs on race day? It's ok that he beat you (especially by such a small margin)...just means you have to go back out there and show him who's boss in this coming season. Always nice to have a target to chase.

Im fairly certain he has a built motor do to the fact he runs the CP Piston contingency stickers. I would say around 300whp and weighing 2800-3000 pounds. The other cars who are competitive in street fwd are a Civic Si (K20) supercharged (250whp)and a built NA RSX (220whp) and a SRT-4 (400whp) who always doninates.
But Ive learned that even low hp cars can be fast depending on the track. Heck one guy at NJ claimed to have a 400+whp tC running in modified fwd on sticky tires, and my times were around a half second away.
But yes, a target is always nice. It gives you comparison from year to year, only problem is in time attack... everyone upgrades as time passes so it's a race off-season too. If all goes as planned I should have my large turbo on by April's time attack and be around 250-300whp. On a 2200 pound car that is insane power to weight ratio.

You referring to Steve. Yeah I think he claims 450whp. Not to sure how accurate his figures are though as he was talking about the PTuning tC blowing his doors off when it was running a stock motor at 330whp. Then again, that's on you guys dyno...lol.
