I took out an auto v6 stang from school like 2-3 weeks ago, from a roll and from a dig. From a roll, i honestly didnt even think he was going, but he was. From a stop, i got him by 3-4 cars (i'm not even lying or exaggerating, i promise haha). After the race, he said, "man you smoked me, you gotta have a supercharger in there." But yeah, he said he had no traction and just spun the tires. I wanna run a manual v6 with a good driver now. And yeah, he still thinks i'm supercharged haha.

Haha THIS was the best quote because its true where I live

I've always wanted to catch a tC at a light... but most of the tC drivers in my area are little asian girls or old people. Seriously. In fact, I see more xB's and xA's that zip around traffic on the highways.

I was racing another econobox for kicks, toying with them really when another owner saw what was going on and thought he would throw down too... it was a Volvo... it put both of us in check. Ahhaha. S60 ;) Even if it was stock it would be pretty damn quick.. but you could tell it had the boost and other things turned up closer to the 'R'.

Pretty funny to get spanked by a Volvo, but I am getting used to it. I drive these windy hills from time to time instead of the Highway into work and there is this 1980's 4door Volvo that obviously has a nice big engine with stock super quiet exhaust (car is the definition of sleeper) but it has been lowered and it owns the TC hahah.

It's fun to play even when you know it's a loss cause. Know your limits and don't drive past them and everything will be ok.

I'm pretty sure stock for stcok a 05+ manual v6 mustang can beat a manual tc and the older 99-04 would be a drivers race

they both would be a drivers race. the mustang is HEAVY, so a stock m/t should be able to run with it maybe beat. but an i/h/e m/t would take it.

hahaha this post is great! Just so you know I am a tc owner. N/a tc's fully built run a best time of about a 15.2. I have not really heard of any better n.a. Most of them run 15.5-15.7's Now here is the catch. There are ALLOT of tuned tc's around. And I am not talking just header and intake type cars. Usually you will run accross built tc and it will usually look close to stock and sound mean as the devil. Be carefull thinking your going to smoke a tc like this especially in a v6 or even a gt. They might give you a heck of a suprise. They are no rocket car but many of them are in the 13's to low 14's which is pretty good for a economy based engine. Most tuned versions are laying down around 230whp-250whp. Then there are some extreme guys running 300+whp. Have fun guys! and keep it off the streets and on the track. Much better chance of you whopping a tc on video than on the street... or a tc whopping you and it being plastered all over the net hahaha

Just for the record, mine whipes the floor with a celica gts
that should make em think twice of trying to race a tC...

but seriously... i agree... Stangs are HEAVY... and stock to stock will be a drivers race... what about an s/c tC vs Mustang GT? GTs are monsters! or the Cobras? or Saleens?

I've only truely lost one race and that was to a porsche. Really I did'nt even try. Had my ex's daughter with me and did'nt want to freak her out.

Big horsepower does'nt mean ____ on freeway-its all skill. I've trashed a vette in a four cylinder ranger before. Till he hit an opening then he was gone...

How could they both be a drivers race when the 05+ v6 are completely different and even just with an auto, I've seen magazines that say it hits 0-60 in 6.9 sec, which is faster than the 99-04 manuals. So a manual 05+ V6 should most likely take out a tc stock for stock.

Actually, I think the 1,400 hp tC he is talking about is the one driven by Chris Rado. It uses a Toyota 3RZ-FE Tacoma engine. It is just the tC shell, but it is actually front wheel drive.

It is actually dyno-proven to only 1,200 hp. The dyno they ran it on had a 1,200 hp limit. They estimated the 1,400 hp out of what was left when the dyno shut down at 1,200. It is a pretty cool car with lots of innovative parts to make this Scion the fastest FWD car out there.

Sorry, I'll take a Stang GT over a tC anyday.

V8 + Rear drive+Live axle > *, when it comes to drag.

The V6 on the other hand, I'm not a big fan of. Don't go thinking you're hot ____ and try to take them on, since the newer v6's will actually make you earn your keep. The older V6's aren't worth much.

I've raced several different V6 mustangs.. a 96 (manual).. a 2000 (auto).. 2003 (manual), and a 2005 (manual)..

none of them were even close to me except the '05.. it put 1/2 a car length on me when I hit 4th gear.

I've even beat GT's (00-04) in 1st and 2nd gear, then in 3rd they fly by me.

Good job racing on a freeway. Weaving in and out of traffic isnt skill, it's luck and *****.

NOT. Do it once and you can call it luck. Do it many times without incident or accident and its no longer luck.

There is a difference between driving by the seat of your pants and reading traffic/maintaining control= its called discipline. There have been a couple of times when "idiots" have made sudden/unsignaled lane changes in front of me and i've had to scrub 30mph right F'n now. CONTROL!

Just FYI I don't go around looking for races but if someone wants to cop an attitude, i'm more than happy to put them in their place. <=This holds true both on and off the highway.

^^I have to disagree with just about everything you just said..

Staying on topic however, I have seen the 90's/2000 model GT in action. I was not impressed either. We had 3 people in our tC. My g/f was driving, I was in the passenger seat, and my g/f brother was in the back. The GT had only just the driver. We punched it a little, and the GT didn't even walk us. He SLOWLY creeped us, but for us having 3 people in the car, it was very UNimpressive. I think we can take them with ease due to weight differences.

I want to know what salesman tried to tell the guy the tC could take the GT-S ... last I checked, most of the salesman werent really much for up-selling, just letting the car sell itself.
