Default Buyers BEWARE!! UMNITZA.com (predator angel eyes)

Very very poor customer service! I ordered a set of their Predator Angel Eyes for $150.00 on Apr. 30, 2007. I recieved a confirmation email the following day, May 1, informing me that the product had been shipped. I live in Southern CA and Umnitza is located Northern/Bay Area CA. Standard flat rate shipping with the USPS should take no more than 5 days for that distance. I recieved an email on May 4th stating that the product would be here "today or tomorrow."

Well "today" and "tomorrow" passed and still nothing. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited until the 8th to say anything about not recieving the product. I was told to "just be patient, it will be there. If It's NOT there by Thursday, we'll ship you another." Well its now Friday, May 11th, and still no product. I emailed Umnitza about the delay once agian and asked when the new set of Angel Eyes would be delivered and I recieved this in response: "Why would I ship you another..."

I understand that once the product is in the possession of the P.O. it is out of the vendors hands, but I have shipped and recieved numerous products at flat rate USPS shipping, many of them to and from the east coast, and I have never had it take 10 + days to reach the destination. What is truley going on here can only be left up to speculation, but one thing is certain, UMNITZA.com has terrible customer service and an even worse shipping procedure. I will be returning the angel eyes, if I ever recieve them, and never doing business with them again!

Umniza doesnt sell much for scion desides these Angel Eyes, and even then those are only for the Tc. So not many people should have to worry about it, but for those looking at their product, consider this experience.

^^ I know! Hence the returning! $150.00 or $40.00?? SHoudl be a no brainer right? I should have researched before I purchased, I thought Umnitza was the only one still offering this product.

Btw, the angel eyes still aren't here. Which means that the soonest they MIGHT be here is Monday afternoon. That also means its taken the package atleast 2 weeks to be delivered!

Uh... if it's taking that long to recieve the product, I wouldn't expect any difference in service in getting a refund - if you even get one at all! Might want to cut your losses if you ever even get the shipment.

Just a thought...

I did cut my losses, i finally got the product on the 21st!! after placing the order Apr. 30! haha, almost one whole month... Anyway, instead of sending it back and hassleing with a refund and restocking fees, shipping costs and repurchasing from oznium etc... I just kept the kit from umnitza and installed it.

Just a thought, next time, give us the benefit of the doubt. It's not like we're in business to take your money and not provide a product.

Did you perhaps consider that:
a) our original shipment was lost from USPS?
b) we had to confirm with USPS that it was indeed lost and untrackable (10 business days usually)
c) we still had to send you a new one (which you may or may not have received, you could have received the original one, because we reused the tracking number).

There is no buyer beware,

It's all about being nice. We're people too and we like to help whenever we can.

Here's why our products are priced higher than others:
1) Our rings are rated at 50K hours - the nearest known competitors are rated at 10K hours.
2) Our ballasts have since been redesigned to work with cold weather starts, which means, they produce 2X the output of any leading ballast. You cannot find them anywhere, they are exclusive to us and our product and have additional internals that are not found on the generics - which means they cost us 2X the price of the lesser products on the market.
3) Our wiring harness allows users to choose multiple options (and is almost always included in every kit FREE) including wiring to fogs, turn signals, AND <-- key here it can let you turn your angel eyes on and off with your internal lights ( so when you open your door, your angel eyes turn on).
4) Our rings have always been designed to be exactly the right size for the Altima, and we have removed some things from them.

Currently, our internal stats show that we've sold well over 350 of these kits in the last 2 years, so yes, we're going to have some people that have issues. As a result, we've had to institute a simple policy, none of our kits are rated at lifetime warranty. If you want to get a ballast, if you are nice, sometimes, we'll make the exception that we give you a free ballast and all you pay is shipping and handling. That's a pretty fair deal for a product you don't really have to worry about if installed correctly.

I still don't understand why people ship with USPS... I've had this happen through other good vendors, and it isn't usually the vendor's fault. IMO, it's worth the extra buck or two to NOT go postal.

UPS and FedEx FTW! Plus, your customers can track the ACTUAL shipping progress with the tracking number instead of just seeing "shipping info received" until it is delivered.

All consideration was given to the possible reasons as to why this transaction went south, but like I said, order was placed Apr 30th, and a product was not recieved until May 21st, 19 business days (or days that USPS delivers on). Thats almost double your alotted 10 business days to determine whether a package was lost or not. The problem should have been righted after the FIRST inquiry as to the status of the product.

we handle warranty direct with the buyer only.
in this case, it's the vendor. If the vendor chooses to give you a free part, we will honor what the vendor chooses. If you had purchased direct from us, it would be no different.
