Default Denny Heckers Scion :(

I'm very dissatisfied with my experience at Denny Heckers Toyota in IGH,MN. My girlfriend recently purchased a 2005 tC from their dealership. We've had numerous problems gettin the car we wanted. The morning after we picked it up we found a 1 inch tear in the driver seat. She brought the car back immediatly the next morning. They said they would take care of it. It appeared that a tech or someone snagged something on the seat. Well she brought the car back yesterday morining to have the seat fixed. When she returned to pick up the car she found that they tried to super glue the seat back together. ??????? After she made a stink about that she left. on her way home she realized something was different about her CD player. When we origanally picked up the car it had a 6 disc in-dash changer in it. Well apparently someone "mistakenly" installed a 6 disc when this vehicle was supposed to have a single disc player. Now they will not give her the 6 disc back because "they are not willing to eat the $500" and they are telling us that we are lucky that they are even gonna replace the torn seat! (after we made a big deal out of it) .

I just feel that the customer service at this dealership is HORRIBLE. From day one we have had nothing but problems, but we kept giving them the benefit of the doubt. I highly recommend anyone in the market for a Scion to STAY AWAY from DENNY HECKERS INVER GROVE TOYOTA.

sorry for the rant,

Nick

If somone goes through all the trouble to make a screen name and register on this board...Im betting its legit, this isnt the first major complaint about this dealer either.

Go to Golden Valley Scion (Rudy Luther)

I am sorry to hear about your misfortunes. If you want everybody to see what you had to go through, post it here.

That is what the dealer review system is for.

Well I don't know if you are very perceptive or not, but if you read between the lines you will see that we JUST PURCHASED the car thats why it would be my first post.
Welll IT did happen, and I had to get my lawyer invovled, before they decided they would take care of this. I just heard from my lawyer and it turns out what they did was wrong and they agreed to return the radio and properly fix the seat. I think they thought they were gonna be able to get away with this since they were dealing with my girl friend.
I would really like some info on peoples experience switching the dealer the service through, do they treat you like crap if you haven't purchased a vehicle through them or are some of them good about this?

Oh yeah, My name is Nick, I work on cars for a living. The cars I personally own are a 1995 Eclipse GS-T and a 1991 Mustang Cobra replica. I found this site through Xbrian on a different site. My GF recently purchased a Silver 2005 tC and we love it so far!

I bought my Scion tC from Denny Hecker's Scion dealership, and everything went much easier than I expected. Of course I haven't had any reason to bring my car back yet (except for an LED installation), but they did a very good job of convincing me that if I needed anything from them, they'd take care of it. They did everything I asked of them, too. My sales guy was Farrell Yost, and I have to say my Scion buying experience went very well.

ya they are extremely nice there. i havent had my scion there for work since i dotn live anywhere near it. but when i was there for a scion bbq they were all really nice and helpful.

i take my scion to a different dealer for service since its closer than where i bought it and ive been treated nicely. if any dealer ever gives you crap call scion customer care. they will call that dealer and find out whats going on.

I bought my box from andersonweber toyota scion in Dubuque IA, they were awsome. If they weren't so far away I would go there without a doubt. I have gone to Maplewood toyota before and I will never go back!! Their service sucks!

Default DENNY HECKER = SCANDALOUS

Denny Hecker is the worst dealership in Minnesota.

http://www.startribune.com/stories/535/5105441.html

Go to the site. Enough said.

"She also said that in 1992, at Hecker's 40th birthday celebration at his home in Medina, Hecker asked her to perform oral sex as a present to him but she refused."

"Moos, who could not be reached for comment, recounted in her affidavit how she had a computer expert search the employee's computer and that the expert concluded that pornography, including child pornography, had been viewed on it. "

Hahaha that's pretty funny. No wonder why they're so vulture like when trying to sell cars.

LOL.

Another 'hecker sucks' thread. They should make a forum here just for ppl screwed by a Hecker dealership. I wonder if Mr. Hecker will post here bashing unhappy customers again?

Gotta love the Hecker experience, I have read alot lately about his business practices and I will never step foot into any delaership with his name on it....

I got my XA at Rudy Luther in Golden Valley...Took a long time to get and I thought the cruise install was a crappy job that I had to fix right away but overall the dealership is fairly easy to work with.

Hey everyone, as you can see I am new here. Actually, I signed up because of this thread. My roomate (and also my best friend for the past 12 years) was planning on buying a tc. We went to the Inver Grove store because it was closest to our house. Also, 2 friends have bought cars from teh previously, a Rav 4, and one of the new Prius's. We went because we figured we would be able to get a good deal from them, seeing's how we are kinda returning customers. After test driving the car and seeing that it had everything he wanted we sat down to do the paperwork. I then went in to "Negotiate" the price and was "Kindly" (ok not really" informed that they did not negotiate on prices for the scion's. I then asked to speak to one of the sales managers as we were returning customers. He made us feel stupid and gave us a lectuer how if he adjusted the price, he would loose his scion license. Yeah, I get it, you can't haggle, but you don't need to make us feel like dumbarses. So we left, and went to the next closest dealer, Maplewood, where he dedicded on a new XB. He liked the size better, and was saving about 2 grand on price. Now I am reading that Maplewood does not have good service, and that there is a member here from the Golden Valley one. He has already filled out a credit form, and taken it to his Credit Union, so it will probably be a go for Maplewood, unless there is a way for us to change it to the other dealer. I dunno. Wish us luck, and to he!! with Denny. I am through with them.
