Default FEINTLIGHTING STOLE MY MONEY!!

Paid $115 for a light board back in Feb never received it.

Emailed many times with no response, I guess you live and learn.

I ordered a full light board set-up for my car, and Mike was having problems getting the parts in and then had problems trying to get everything on the board.

After weeks of messing with it he told me he could do a shortened version of what I wanted, I said ok. Paid $115 through paypal and then it slipped my mind. I emailed him and he assured me that he wasn't ripping me off. I waited and didn't realize there is a 45 day cut-off for paypal protection and after that point you can't file a claim.

so...... now I can't get an email returned and am out $115.

SO I WOULD SAY DON'T ORDER ANYTHING FROM FEINTLIGHTING!!!!

Anybody else have any experience with these guys? I really like the look of their light boards, but I guess I will never see it in person.

I would really just keep emailing and keep calling. Not that you probably haven't been or anything...
But $115 isn't chump change to me (and likely not you either)... I'd bug the ____ out of them until I got to talk to someone.

I have emailed Mike many times with no response and the last time I emailed everyone listed on their website. If I had known about the 45 day limit on paypal I would have filed a claim.

Ya... I didn't know about that limit either actually. But thankfully (so far) I've had no need to use it.

You have to wonder how people like that do business. I mean, does the guy just tell the employees "if this one guy emails you, just ignore him." Does he lie to them and say you tried to rip him off or something? Or is the whole business just shady?

The communication was really good at first, and I went back and forth with him for months before he said it was just about done and needed payment, I even have the layout he was going to do in a pdf file, so I had no reason to believe that I was going to get the shaft.

this is the last email i received from him:

I am sorry that this has happened.I honestly have not been able to keepup with the business the past few weeks. Thanks for your patience, and Iam extremely disappointed inmyself and the employees for not being able to fulfill your order yet. Please rest assured we are not an Internet scam company, and you WILLget your product/refund. Thanks for your time.

Mike, you haven't returned my last 2 emails. I still have no light board and am out $115. Please let me know what is going on, or refund my money.

Thanks

Ya, that just reads as strange IMO. I don't take things as a good sign when he has to claim that he's not a scam.

You said you paid with paypal? Did you fund the sources with a CC? If so call your bank/cc company up and file a dispute with them..

If you paid with your checking account you can possibly seei f they will assist. but always use a CC when funding paypal so you have a backup plan when something like this happens.

i hope everything works out ok

it was somewhere in the group buy, well it had a little info on why they went out of business.

i think the best person to ask would be neothin, as he was sponsored by them.

Paypal has a 45 day dispute time, however you can make a dispute afterwards if you talk to them. Have you tried calling them up?

Usually with a CC you have 6 months to put in a chargeback. You could try pressuring them into giving it to you...threaten to close the account or something.

It sucks, I was scammed once. Some guy bought a $100 item from me using a dead man's credit card and address through Paypal...now I only ship to confirmed addresses...
