Default My item finally showed up

Alright guys - one final post. My item from iKona finally showed up. I just ordered a set of keyhole and bumper plugs and they look ok - there is a small scratch on one of the plugs but no big deal. I haven't checked fitment or anything yet, but they seem fine. Value for money is alright, although since it's a custom item you have to take that into account.

What isn't alright is the communication (or lack thereof) during the order. I never got anything out of him until I started complaining here and opened a paypal dispute. I know he's got a lot going on (with everyone tearing him apart) and I'm very glad he eventually shipped the item (and it seems to be right). In any case, if I had to do it over I probably wouldn't. Communication is about 40% of any transaction and I hope he learns from the feedback he's getting now. Good luck to everyone else and to iKona.

haha.

Look another satisfied customer. And he even has issues. 50% of his order was damaged!!!!!!!!

*sarcasm*
But Iowagary, you must be lying. He has only ever had issues with 4-6 people. People making posts like yours are just making yourself look stupid!!!! He doesnt appreciate the lies!!! *sarcasm*

Hey. I havnt gotten any PMs or IMs from you bud. I just wanted to let you know I know that I was so posed to have one for you a while back but I'm still trying to get one. If theres anything els I can do let me know. Sorry to keep you waiting so long but like I said. You have the next garnish to come in.
then guess what?!?!

hey hey hey, guess what I got in the mail today?!?!? Stand by for pictures in the near future. The paint color came out good, and there is no oval to be seen, there are about a dozen or so little "bubbles" I guess, I'm not sure if they can be buffed out when I wax it, but I give it an A-/B+ for my initial impression. So glad to finally be able to install my new TBL, I had that within two days of ordering it, this only took 4.5 months, lol.
What ever happened to me being the next garnish that came in? i'm really confused here... has MS1 mailed his garnish back in? it's been 11 days! longest shipping i've ever heard of... am i even getting that one? or is it going to someone else so another promise will be broken...

as per the date on my check (deposited 4/4/08 as per my bank statement), thursday will mark the SIXTH MONTH OF WAITING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and look what I did for i-Kona amongst this?

honestly, it kinda bugs me how you talk him down so much, it's true it's taking a little long, but iKona has been around here a lot longer than you have and not everything ever goes according to plan.

i've never had an issue contacting him and i have no idea why it's so hard for you, he's always available and generally replies in a timely fashion, and if not, he's on aim to talk to most of the time...
I BACKED HIM UP! AND WOAH! WHAT NOW???!?!?!

guess what happened later! on 8/5/08 MS1 decided to poke me about doing that...

This email seems more and more ironic given the current situation. Hopefully next time you give things a little more thought before you chime in.

oh my GOD is this ridiculous...

I hope you get some birthday money because I know you owe quite a few people...

oh yeah, THAT'S A THREE ON THE CHECK!

oh right
here's an IM conversation we had on July 22nd!

(3:14:49 AM) i-Kona: what was teh last name again?
(3:14:53 AM) Me: slaymaker
(3:14:58 AM) i-Kona: yeah you were gna get mine lol
(3:15:12 AM) i-Kona: I'll have it done for you this week
(3:15:28 AM) Me: i'll be expecting that tracking number then
(3:15:47 AM) i-Kona: no problem
And look what happened on July 28th? He messed up! WTF!

If you want a refund I’ll give it to you because I know Im doing this transaction real bad and at the same time didn’t keep a promise but if its what you want its what I’ll give you. But the thing is I’ll be able to get you a garnish faster then giving you a refund because my bro who lives like an hr away said hes going to overnight me a garnish. So I’ll be able to get you one this week sent to your house. Theres no excuse after this. If he doesn’t over night it then I can just pick it up and still have it sent out by this week no more excuses.
(10:01:09 PM) i-Kona: I shouldnt ask but I just want to know if you could give me a few more days which would help out a huge bunch
ARE YOU KIDDING ME! KID CAN'T EVEN KEEP HIS PAPERWORK IN ORDER!!!!!!!!!!

i'm just so taken aback by this whole thing...

i probably should have ditched a long time ago, but i want this thing based on the principal of the matter...

and i'm not kidding when i say every mod to my car that has been done besides my s2k antenna, my oem sub (bought second-hand) and my grills were purchased and installed and worked on AFTER ordering this garnish. every SINGLE thing in my mod list, i mean, my car was basically *stock* when i ordered this...

if anything this thread has at least boosted my post count....

Wow. That's unbelievable.
Is there a reason that none of the people screwed over by him haven't filed legal action yet?

Yup, I sent payment on 4/4 also, still waiting. Last message I got from him was:

From: iKONA
To: Medications
Posted: 8/22/08 7:10PM
Subject: Hey
Hey sorry for the delay in update. Ill have a garnish from you soon .Definatley before the end of sep. Like I said I made a huge mistake letting the core exchange gp happen and now im taking care of customers one by one. Only les than 5 people left on the gb. Stay in contact buddy.
Not holding my breath. I might just sell the garnish once I get it, since he refuses to give a refund, and I need the money right now more than I need the garnish.

Once the official 6 month mark hits, I will be flooding his inbox with at least 50 messages a day, and having pizzas delivered to his house by the 20s. I will also be purchasing subscriptions to as many ___ porno mags and other stupid ____ I can find and having them delivered to his house

ok here it goes..we have discussed banning him as a member... HOWEVER if we do he can't communicate with the people he has done wrong and make it up to them. ...and we hope people are smart enough to steer clear....however odds are its gonna run its course as he buries himself....he has one foot out the door .....no one is protecting him if that is a concern....hope that helps....
oh the plus side.. this is the longest lastest thread ive ever had on SL..

If he is banned outright, users lose the ability to communicate with him.

A freeze on his selling abilities until he makes good with his outstanding orders might be a better option.

This guy actually had the ***** to PM me from a
help request he saw I had put up in the interior section about waterfall painting.

His indication was that he would love to "help me" get my interior painted the "right " way.

Being a complete moron like he is, and totally oblivious to the fact that 95% of everyone on scionlife knows he's a crook, a fool, and a scam artist.... he still wanted to quote me!!!!

I kindly, but not kindly told him that his reputation is far from good and he should be well aware that neither I or anyone else i know of on here will EVER DO BUSINESS AGAIN WITH HIM. He's F'd over way to many good people and for that I vote for banishment.

my heart goes out to everyone who spent their hard earned dough on this loser, and never got product.

Just be glad someone/someones gave us all the heads up not to get scr@wed

$180 will cover the rental car for when I go to Florida in a month. That is more useful to me than the garnish, so please give me a refund.

Thanks!
