I get a timely email about evert two months from iKona telling me that it'll get done soon. I've been waiting sinve February. He also told me that I am the 1st on his list to get his Aurora version of the garnish...whenever he starts working on them.

I've been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. I haven't been trolling the boards as much...mainly because I haven't had the time to do so. And I'll be moving to New Mexico sometime in the next two to three months.

If he were banned folks would not be able to contact him through ScionLife in an attempt to work out problems.

Also, this topic is an attempt to assist any other folks who might be a potential customer in judging the wisdom of that decision before acting.

If he were banned, current customers with problems would be cut off from easy contact, and this topic would be locked.

Also, take a close look at the rules here on ScionLife. Poor workmanship, etcetera, is not against the rules. Some products and services are MUCH better than others...

ScionLife is not the guarantor of product or service quality, and we cannot act as referees in disagreements.

What ScionLife DOES offer is the opportunity for people to openly discuss their experiences with vendors, dealers, brands, and products, and we strongly suggest that people look into others' experiences before spending their money.

Hopefully that makes some sense to our members.

I agree you cant do anything about past purchases and to ban him would be counter producive, but you can keep him from selling anymore as a vendor!!! Not only is his workmanship subpar, but there are dozens of customers not getting what they are ordering.

So why not stop him from selling as a vendor?? Is it because scionlife would then loose money??

I don't control who is or is not a ScionLife sponsor - that's a business decision made elsewhere, thank goodness.

It might be similar to not banning Wal*Mart from the planet for selling poor quality shoes because Nordstroms has better quality and better customer satisfaction with their products. Each buyer has to weigh the cost/value equation on their own.

Remember, ScionLife does not guarantee that all products or services sold by sponsors or members are top quality, that orders are quickly or accurately processed, that products or services are appropriate for a specific use, adequately described, worth the money, or even available.

Sadly, that is all up to the folks with actual experience with the service or product. Those are the ONLY folks who know...

For example, I've had very poor experience with a specific dealer that damaged my xB and rather than fixing the damage they did, just covered it up (it was eventually found by another outfit doing repair).

Is that dealer banned? No. Can I guarantee they caused significant damage to my vehicle and covered it up? Yes. Why haven't I banned them? That is not my job.

I HAVE made sure to cover MY experience with them for others to see, and I bad-mouth them and direct people to other dealers at every opportunity.

For right now, that's what we can do here.

Warn others if we had a bad experience.
