Koons Tysons Toyota, Vienna VA. horror story
I want to start this out by saying when i bought my box from koons tysons toyota in vienna VA that they couldnt have been nicer. There was no presure or grief when buying my car. After signing the papers i got my car within a week everything fine. Well here is were the good parts starts, when i bought the car i asked for under dash lights no big deal should be easy to do and it was payed for when i bought the car. well a month after i bought the car still no lights and everytime i called i just got the run around a couple of times with serious atitude from a a guy that works in the parts department. well a month and two weeks after i get the car i finally get optional equipment installed. i was very unhappy with the lights seeing as there were giant bundles of wires left in the back and multiple holes drilled in the dash and in a week the lights stoped working. At this point im pretty fed up with the dealership so i decide to take car of it myself and while doing so i discover that none of the wire conections were secure in a professional manner but had been taped together with electrical tape. I cant press enough the fact that NONE of the wire connections were together with anything else but tape not even twisted with exception of the switch that had connectors. I have since ripped the entire system out and installed street force leds for the underdash. So with this being the end, if you are trying to buy a car koons tysons toyota is a great place. If your trying to get some help, have parts installed, or anything other than buy a car koons tysons toyota is one massive mistake. I hope this helps someone.

As much hassle as it would be I would take it back to them and tell them to fix it correctly. Especially since it is kind of pricey coming from the dealer. They will probably give you the run around for awhile again but like I said its a bit pricey and might be worth _____in about.

Most of my friends told me the same thing but they had given me the run around about fixing a couple of other thing like a clamp on the intake that was loose and rattling but it took three trips to the dealership until they replaced it like i asked the first time so when i saw that the lights were screwed it was kinda the icing on the cake. i havent been back to the dealership for anything since then plus i am much happier with the street force leds that i installed in place of the factory lights. Much brighter and a much purier blue light.

How much were the Street Force LEDs vs the factory? Just curious why you picked Koons in the first place? What was the dealer proc fee? Am looking at local dealers and am very early in the process so I don't know what each dealer charges for the fees, but Ourisman offers "free" 2/24 scheduled maintenance and loaners. Any locals offer better or comparable do you know?

The street force leds were about 50 bucks a pop. Then i went to the local hardware store and found a way to brace them under the dash havent put them on the back yet but they are much brighter than cold cathodes and a much purer blue light much more worth it. I also wired them into a switch that is in place of the dealership one. as far as the hose clamp thats funny same dealership same problem same amount of back and forth trips to get the same problem fixed for me.
