Default My rant.

I hate buying cars. If I could test drive a bunch of cars and then buy the one I wanted from a website, I would do it in a second. The scion pure pricing appealed to me because I could do all my own homework, go into the joint and just buy the car. I can work out my own financing, know my payments AND apr and not having to worry about missing something. I do the work on my own time and go in prepared.

Let me tell you something right now. No haggle does not equate to no-hassle. I'll list a few examples:

1. How many times do I have to say 'No options." The car is well equipped. If I want accessories I can add them later. No. No, thank you. No, I'm sorry not interested. No. Yes, I'm sure. No. No thanks. No. No. NONO OH GOD PLEASE STOP I DO NOT WANT THE SIXTY DOLLAR WHEEL LOCKS!

2. The scion financing is well documented on their website. I know that I only qualify for the 5.5% financing because I know my FICO score. I am already approved for a 4.9% apr loan with my bank. Why do I have to fill out this paperwork? No, I don't want a toyota loan. No, I don't qualify for a better rate. You can go talk to your finance manager. Yes, I'll wait right here. What's that? Oh, he says he can't get me a better rate? No, that's okay, I didn't mind sitting here for an hour. No the guy who drove me down here doesn't have anything better to do than SIT HERE WHILE YOU WASTE MY TIME! WHAT DID I TELL YOU YOU FREAKING RETARD!

3. The third (and final straw.) I waved the toyota window etching service. It's $159 that I don't want to spend. He said "no problem". He crossed it out. He made me initial next to it so it all felt very official. When I got home and added the numbers up, guess how much we were over. That's right. Somehow $159 got added to the total. That's okay. People make mistakes. I phoned him to let him know of his error and he said he would fix it when I went down to leave the deposit. I went down; left a deposit. He wrote me up a new sales agreement, and again he crossed off the window etching fee. Like a tool I figured the thing was correct. I brought it home. Added it up. Guess how much its off by!

I am going back tomorrow to get my deposit back, and will not take no for an answer. Then I am bringing my business to another scion dealership. If the salesman cannot do basic math, he shouldn't be selling cars. If he CAN do basic math then his stupid attempt at making sales-clown of the month cost his dealership a sale over a freaking hundred and sixty dollar charge.

Well things today went as was expected. The sales manager was obviously ____ed off that I wanted my deposit back, but I got it. And the second dealership I went to gave me a better experience. Granted they would really have to go out of their way to screw up this sale. Thanks for the encouragment. :-)

its when they etch the VIN number of the car in the windows so no one can steal it. ANd if they do the VIN is on the windows. For security reasons.

They did not even ask me if I wanted the etching here in KY

Thanks, yeah I didn't know what that was because they never asked me if I wanted that when I bought mine.
