Default PLEASE READ!! DO NOT GO TO WHEELMAX.COM!!!

IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO BUY RIMS ONLINE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT GO TO WHEELMAX.COM!! THEY HAVE SCREWED ME OVER AND OVER AND I DO NOT WANT THEM TO MAKE ANY MORE MONEY. I HAVE HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCES WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND WITH THEIR SHIPPING DEPARTMENT. PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO ANYONE YOU KNOW WHO IS LOOKING TO BUY RIMS. IT TOOK THEM ONE MONTH TO SHIP ME RIMS, THEN THEY SENT ME THE WRONG OFFSET, THEN WOULD NOT RE-IMBURSE ME FOR THE SPACERS I HAD TO BUY. THEY FINALLY AGREED TO BUY THEM BUT IT HAS BEEN TWO MONTHS SINCE I SENT THEM THE INVOICE AND THEY STILL HAVE NOT GIVEN ME A REFUND. TO TOP IT ALL OFF. THEY HAVE BEEN @$$ HOLES ON THE PHONE. DEATH TO WHEELMAX .COM. PASS IT ON.

Default Avoid http://www.victoriatire.com/ as well!

Do your best to avoid www.victoriatire.com as well!!!! It took them almost 2 months to ship my tires!!! By the time they arrived I sent them back...because I already bought some wheels from wheelsnext.com. They will never answer the phone once you place an order...then never call you back if you leave a message....very...very bad company!!!!! Wheelsnext.com was awsome to work with and gave me a great deal on my wheels!

Wow. Sorry you had all those problems. Next time, try discounttiredirect.com. They were very helpful, super friendly on the phone, and they shipped the same day I placed my order. When my order arrived, one of my centercaps was cracked. I called them up and they sent out a free replacement that same day. They also had awesome prices. I would do business with them again anytime.

Not to dispute your negative experience at all 'MychalCohen', but to answer your question 'Big_Jim', not every experience with WheelMax is bad.

I bought my wheels/tires with them and the transaction was flawless. I was very pleased.
Another member of our local SE chapter had good experience with them too when buying wheels for his xB.

Of course, every company is going to make mistakes and have problems with some transactions. WheelMax's problem is their customer service is poor when those problems arise. I'm sure TireRack has some similar errors, but they try to ensure the customer's satisfaction, whereas WheelMax does not.

I've heard a number of similar stories, and explained my concern to the rep that took my order at the time. But the fact is that they have at least a full page ad in every car magazine, auctions on Ebay, etc... and wouldn't be so successful if all their customers were so unsatisfied.

I hope they make your situation better 'MychalCohen', and in the end you get everything straightened out.

ya, wheelmax seems to be real hit and miss

from day 1 on scionlife there have been problems with their shipping and customer service departments

but about 50% of the time, the come through and the customer is totally happy.

I bought a Wheel and Tire set from Wheelmax a year ago. I don't think I would buy from them again. They called me 2 days after I ordered them and said the Wheels were back ordered. 3 Weeks later they called and said the Wheels had been discontinued and I needed to pick something else. I was just going to get my money back but I thought it would probably take forever, so I picked the new wheels and they came 2 weeks later. I sold them to another xB owner 5 months later.

i suggest going through americas tire company. i have dealt with them and so have a few of my friends and everytime, it went smoothly. they will match any price that you find and when they get it, they will give u their free maintenance too, whereas any other online site wont. so take a drive out to your nearest one or just go on their website. they can even get wheels not listed in their inventory.

No one else sells Exel wheels. I believe that WheelMax owns the name, and has them made outside the US and then sells them inside the US.
If you go to ExelWheels.com it explains that they are exclusively sold by WheelMax, not to mention their sites are maintained by the same people.

Wheelmax delivered the right wheels and tires on time - no complaints from us. Looks like we will need the hubcentric rings - a shimmy at 50 mph. They said 70% of folks don't need them. I would suggest that they be recommended when the wheel center hole is so much larger than the hub diameter. (in our case: 73.1mm for 54.1 hub)

Wheelmax wrap-up:
Even with the hubcentric rings, we still had a high speed "shimmy"(steering wheel). Went to Discount Tires and had the tires rebalanced ($29). All is well now. Tech put new weights in center of wheel rather than along inside rim.
