Total price?

It's pretty easy to get an approximation of how much your total, out-the-door price will be: just configure a Scion the way you like it, with the accessories you want, on the www.scion.com web site's "Build Your Scion" configurator. It'll give you the MSRP, plus destination charges. Now to determine how much tax, and license and registration fees, etc. are on top of that, just add about 10% to that previous total, and you'll get a general idea of how much everything will cost you.

I traded im my 89 Caravan (I nicknamed it the Crapmobile), and put a few
hundred downfor an Xa at Carson Toyota. I was looking at used cars and getting both sticker and milage shock. I test drove an automaticwith not much in the way of extras. It was everything I was looking for at a very reasonable price.I got out
the door with an extended warranty and some other stuff for a aliitle over $17, at
a 7% . I found out later that night my credit union was offering 3.75% through
another dealership, but I wasn't going to quibble over something I plan on paying
off early anyway. I like the way I was treated during the whole process. I always felt
I got shabby treatment from Del Amo Dodge, and would never go back there. I came away from this experience very happy.:D

Not bad actually
My total was just under $19,000. I got the xB, floor mats, stock alarm, paint protection and 7 year warranty (if Ihad to do it over again Im not sure I would get the paint protection or the warranty but oh well :? ). I got 4.25% intrest. My payments are $246 a month for 5 years (however I still have not got my first bill- its only been a week). I put $5000 down.

my msrp was $16,027. + tax, lic, doc fee. I put $1,000. down (was going to put 2 down if they financed wheels but then the dealership backed out of that) so i took the other grand and bought wheels for $840. from local tire shop. Then added this extended warranty. Payment is $288. per month at 5% through toyota. By the way the car i originally went in to buy was a blue stick with the rear spoiler and cargo cover, but was told that car was over a month away, so it was take the car with $1,500. more in options, or wait, or get one driven almost 200 miles away and even then that was a stretch. So I got Scion involved, it got ugly (real ugly) and i still ended up with all the options, but the folks at Scion did help out a bit. See Ya, Louie

I find these posts extremely enlightening.
The dealer at Palo Alto Toyota was trying to tell me I would have to put 1/3 of the price down. He said it was a requirement of "the bank", yet I see people here are putting much less than that down. What a joker. This is the same guy who made photocopies of my drivers license when I went for a test drive.
At least I know I won't be buying from him.

OTD, total price for my manual tranny xB with extras, taxes, and finance fees was very close to $17K . Extras that I got were floormats, fog lights, obx shift **** and pedals, 6 disc cd, and cargo cover. I waived the extended warranty option. I put $10K down and my payments (5 year @ 4.25 APR) are $123 a month.
