The beam itself is maybe 4500k, the blue/purple you see is caused by the projector lens and not the bulb. To "simulate" you could get a more blue bulb - higher in K, but generally it puts out less light. So you have to decide if you want to "see or be seen"

I used to have a 2001 M5 - awesome car, when it was running properly.

Right, i thought it might be the projectors themselves. i would definitely want to get better light output rather than go with an extreme K.
Yeah I was specifically talking about the new E60. So maybe one of those ebay projectors out there for the xB can do that ...

anyway, thinking about this HID kit ...

Yes, our kits are waterproof. There is also a 1 year warranty on the bulbs, ballast and wiring harness, so if anything goes wrong, we will take care of it for you. I also sent you a PM

operatic.. shipping was extremely fast! put them in just about an hour ago and could not get one of the ballasts to work! we tried switching them to see if it could be a problem with the lights... but sure enough its got to be the ballast since the light turns on when paired with the good ballast. what do i do now?

You probably just need to rotate the wires that is attached to the ballast, it will clip the other way and the light will work...

other then that, fastest shipping ever, great product. i will post pictures soon.

Sorry not sure on that one...If they flicker for like a second when they are first firing up. It will go away after a week. I would say if they are both flicking non-stop you have a grounding issue.
