Thanks HIDXTRA! I just got my 6,000K HID kit from the USPS today (Saturday morning) and installed it right away. It took about 30 minutes or so and the hardest part was hiding the wires with the zip ties and mounting the ballasts with the double sided tape to places under the hood.

My only question is that when I turn on the HID lights for my car, there is a slight humming sound coming from one of the ballasts. So is this normal or could this be an indication of a problem? Anyways, the lights work and look great so thanks again!

Hi,

The ballast should be fine, some needs a kick start by warming up first, meaning drive your car around for an hour or two at night with your lights on and the ballasts will kick in.

either way, if there is no problem with the lights, that's fine. Don't worry as we have the one year warranty, so if anything happens, we'll replace them for you.
Thanks!

I got my 5000k hi/lo kit installed today. I ran the relay harness yesterday and mounted the ballasts, Mounted the driver side slim ballast and ignitor on top of the fusebox cover and the passenger side on the front side of the shock tower. spent the most time doing those. Today I connected the bulbs and powered it up. Worked great first time! The lights look great and kit isnt cluttered at all. Now just have to aim them a bit down to be safe. Thanks HIDextra!!!!

I installed my 8000k and the only problem is when i turn on my radio while the lights are on, there seems to be some interference in the signal. Any solution to this?

I aimed my lights down one turn on the adjusters and went for a short test ride though my neighborhood. The output looked great and lit up the same area as my old low beams but with way more light. It would put out enough far away to at least light up the stop signs but nothing else, so shouldnt be much glare for other drivers. Very very happy with this setup, I just hope the kit will last a while. I will try to post pics later.

Hi,

You might need a special wire and relay to get rid of the problem by powering the lights directly from the battery using the relay.

You can purchase a relay in the below link.

The relay is $16 and you can use coupon code: tenpercentoff-w to get 10% off the relay.

Thanks!

and for what its worth, i do recommend always using the relay harness to prevent to prevent troubles and bad performance. It only takes a few minutes longer to do. I also used some diaelectric grease on all the metal contacts. I took my relay and zip tied it into a small rubber balloon.

Hi,

These are plug and play hid conversion kits, so all parts come with female/male plugs except the relay (if you need one). The kit includes everything you need
(2 bulbs, 2 ballasts, 2 wire harness, 2 adhesive pads and some zip ties)

What is your YR MAKE MODEL and I can double check your bulb type for you.

Also what color would you like?

5000K WHITE with light yellow tint
6000K ALL WHITE
8000K WHITE with light blue tint

Thanks~

Michelle
