Hello, since this is so long I did not have the time to search for the answer to this question. Are these kits waterproof or what is required in order to make sure they do not get water damage?

Default How to install the kits?

Hey guys,

Just got my kit ordered in from you, really fast shipping!

But I thought these were plug n play kits? In the instruction sheet, it says the two bare wires go to the socket of the existing headlight. Well my socket is a 9006 and my kit is a D2s...I don't see how these plug in? Are there any detailed instructions on how to install this? I don't really want to slice my 9006 sockets off.

Thanks!

I didn't get the blue plug, just some bare wire...

Did I order something wrong? I think it was my fault, I ordered a D2S kit since I have TSX projectors now, I didn't order a 9006 kit since my bulbs aren't 9006...but my sockets still are...if that makes sense.

HI,

You should have gotten a D2S kit with 9006 wire harness.

this is how it's supposed to be setup

D2S bulbs --> ballast --> 9006 wire harness --> oem connectors,
take a picture of the Oem connecetor for me and send it to info@hidextra.com and include your order # and full name. and I'll see if you requested for the 9006 wire harness and if the shipping department got you the wrong harness. ]

Thanks~

Does anyone else have 8000k in projectors?

Is it just me or does it barely improve visibility over the stock halogens?

Seems like it only increases appearance

honestly, I'm not surprised by having minimal visibility when using 8k. Remember, the higher the kelvin, the lower the light output and the more it simply becomes a visual thing. This is why 4300k - 5000k is always recommended.

How do I go about getting a replacement?
This same thing happened to me tonight. I actually just sent HIDextra an e-mail explaining how I THOUGHT it might be the bulb, but in actuality it's the ballast. I just switched out the bulb to test it on the other ballast and I confirmed this.

HIDextra, please disregard what was said earlier in my previous e-mail. I need a new 9006 6000k BALLAST not bulb. I already sent you an e-mail previously stating my order info.

Just want to drop a line while they are looking into the situation, HIDextra is probably the best company I have ever dealt with. Their customer service is far and beyond anything I have ever experienced. Any issue, these guys are there to take care of you. I have sent you an email with the photo as requested. Thank you again for your excellent customer service.

And just for archiving purposes and for future people who may have the same issue as me, I have included a photo of the cable.

Again, I think this is my fault for getting the wrong cabling.
