You do not need the tie downs to install this. IMO this is the best diversion panel available for the tC!

why do you think is the best?? and what are the tie downs for if we don't need them??

The fitment is fanstatic. I had issues with my last diversion panel. Those tie-downs just replace your stock tie-downs.

I am stationed at Ft. Huachuca. So, your roommate is MI?

This is probably the best panel on the market for the tC. Here are a few reasons why...

1. This panel is an exact fit, drop in panel, and requires no modification of any kind.
2. Unlike some of the other units, this panel is a ONE piece panel.
3. This panel has a cut out to allow your stock hood prop to lay down without rubbing on the panel.
4. This panel is constructed of stainless steel and will not warp or bend.
5. You can buy this panel from NST

We have sold many of these panels over the past few months, everyone seems to love them and they are very popular items at the shows and expos we attend.

Thanks again everyone, good luck and have fun with your projects!

The tie downs are not absolutely necessary, your OEM tie down pieces will work just fine. The DME tie downs are designed to finish off the custom look.

Yeah, I got one on mine. I like it alot. I also have their light weight crank pully, front and rear strut tower bars. They look good and were easy to install.
